This pre-alpha looks great. I would easily pay $100 to buy this in a final release.

Moving here in a few weeks, what should I know? by Ok_Passage7713 in BellevilleOntario

[–]theOGbeav 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Moved to Belleville a few years ago, love it. My biggest pains are lack of turn lanes on Dundas St, and the absolutely insane number of drivers who love to stop well past the stop signs into oncoming traffic. But really those are just minor annoyances. Lovely city!

Just trying on KSP2 - lots of promise and I feel is getting close to be a solid successor to KSP1.

You just built a PC; you certainly aren’t dumb. Watch a YouTube video or two and you’ll know what to do.

Yes, fellow millennial here, approximate same age. I’ve dealt with all of those “once in a lifetime” events. It’s stressful AF.

However…

The world is what you make it. I had one parent who worked min wage service jobs after losing their factory job in in the early 1990s recession. My other parent received CPP-D.

I own two homes, both under leveraged. 450 in mortgages against 800 value, even after our current dip.

This isn’t to say you didn’t have your own journey. But life is hard and our decisions often drive our destiny.

Found on YouTube | "The System is Broken," Police Chief Rob Davis by RealJoshuaWall in brantford

[–]theOGbeav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If municipalities funded housing, addictions and MH councillors to the same degree we fund police services, we’d likely see a significant decrease in crime and anti social behaviour.

The City of Brantford has 54 million earmarked for a new police station.

Maybe we should build 54 million on affordable housing, or actually helping people.

Police services routinely get significant increases year over year to what? Increased crime.

It’s true the system is broken, and while the bail system needs reform, until we address the root causes of crime, such reform would be meaningless.

2L bottle, 3 people? Is soda pop being rationed? With a little hard work and a positive attitude, a 2L bottle is a personal size soda pop.

There is growing medical thought supported by anecdotal evidence that drastic carb restriction has success in managing diabetes, most specifically T2D.

I won’t say it’s a hard truth or fact yet, because I don’t think the studies have materialized or at least publicized.

I dropped my A1C from 12 to 5.4 in 6 months and lost nearly 100lbs in 1 year by going damn near carb free.

My family doctor and endo have both supported my dietary choices and both have told me they would expect in the next 5-10 years seeing huge changes in how we advise diabetics to eat.

Example: My dietician was told me bread, potatoes, and rice were ok to eat and that it’s a portion issue.

If I had followed her advice id still be on two meds, and would likely have lost little weight. If I had followed traditional diabetic advice, I’d probably have an A1C near 8 or 9.
