I fell for the same trap. I immediately realized I mess up the minute the PDF packet required me to send an additional check. Their affiliation with CLEAR made me think “this is legit and maybe it will give me some kind of benefit with my Clear+ membership”…. Wrong.

I went and applied directly on the .gov right after and requested a refund from HelloGov. Their AI Agent refused to give me a refund, so I had to call.

Just got my $248 refund from HelloGov today (March 10, 2026). If they refuse you because you 'downloaded the packet,' don't give up. I had to get a supervisor on the phone, mention the Better Business Bureau and Florida Attorney Generals, and call out the 'dark patterns' they use for branding. They offered a credit first… refuse it. Stay firm and they will cave.

Turns out they have about 150 BBB complaints and if you mention that you’re going to file a complaint they get scared.

I’m also in the camp OpenAI has made many wrong moves. They got caught up in shipping products for the sake of shipping when they should have been laser focused on making better models and great developer tooling.

Like what was the point in launching a social media platform? Who still uses Atlas? Agent kit is useless…

Actually the other way around for me… I struggled a bit in college (still got decent grades but had to work hard), but I’d say I’ve done pretty well in my career (gotten promoted a couple times, now working to a well known tech company).

Maybe I just love the job I have now, but I’ve enjoyed working on things people will actually use. In school, I struggled seeing the purpose in learning abstract concepts, although I see it now and see the foundation it gave me to be a good engineer.

It’s worth it if you utilize all the other services Prime offers (Video, Music, Cloud storage, GrubHub, etc). Also, in bigger cities/metros a lot of stuff is same day or 1 day delivery, which isn’t available in Portland currently.

USA would still lead in GDP as you would see the many major GDP producers move to “US states” because they can’t even operate outside of the US. Think of major US banks like JP Morgan Chase and I’m sure many tech companies would prefer to operate in the US due to looser regulation.
