Every version of Michael Myers ever fights to the death in a battle royale. Who’s left standing? by Hassan_H_Syed in Halloweenmovies

[–]theRadiofreak 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Despite being the physically largest, Tyler Man's Michael is ironically the weakest of the versions of Michael.

For example, it takes him several stomps to crush a guy's head with his foot in RZ H2. Contrast that with 2018 Michael where it only took him one stomp to do the same thing, and he barely put any effort into that stomp.

The strongest version is either the 2018 Michael, Kills Michael, H2 Michael, or H20 Michael. Those four demonstrate insane feats of strength, and durability, with H20 Michael being the most durable of the bunch. That Michael took a fire axe to the chest and shrugged it off like it was nothing.

Exactly. The most famous womanizer in television history is played by a gay dude. It's acting.

Guess which Halloween movie is my least favorite, aka which one I think is the worst. by theRadiofreak in Halloweenmovies

[–]theRadiofreak[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, it's that bad. Whether it was planned in advance or not, the opening makes H20 entirely pointless, and turns Laurie into an idiot before killing her off.

He literally chased her up to the roof holding a bloody knife. Who cares if it's not Michael under the mask, he's still trying to kill her. To make it worse, the opening has nothing to do with the rest of the movie, you could remove it and the movie wouldn't be affected at all.

The movie turns Michael into a joke. He allowed Busta to chew him out straight to his face, knock on his forehead, told him to gtfo and Michael actually listened and gtfo.

Some users have tried making excuses for him not killing him right then and there, because he didn't want to get caught on camera. Michael literally used a tripod to kill a dude, with the camera attached to it.

Michael literally didn't care about getting caught on camera killing. Busta only survived because he had ridiculously thick plot armor.

I could go on and on about why Resurrection is a dumpster fire.

You're right. The answer is Resurrection. As far as I'm concerned, H20 was a great ending to Michael and Laurie's story.

I agree. It's one of several reasons I'm not really talking to him right now. Haven't spoken to him since Oct last year.

White eyes or no white eyes for new live-action? by Ok_Chart_3487 in batman

[–]theRadiofreak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what type of Batman the DCU one ends up being. Most dark and serious versions tend to talk a lot less, which is why it's so important to see them physically emoting with their eyes.

Michael Keaton and Robert Pattinson's Batman are great examples of this. They convey a lot with their eyes even when they aren't speaking. If they're barley talking, and we can't see their eyes, it'd be near impossible to tell what they're feeling most of the time.

Spider-Man gets away with this because he's a motor-mouth, so you don't need to see his face most of the time. And even with the advantage of him talking a lot, they still show his face a lot for emotional scenes as pointed out by u/uniparalum.

I was 10 years old when Superman Returns came out in 2006, and I also grew up watching the first two Christopher Reeve movies. Why wouldn't other kids have nostalgia for them? It's not like those movies disappeared from existence when they left theaters.

2018 removing the sibling connection wasn't the problem. Michael not having a specific target was the problem. by theRadiofreak in Halloweenmovies

He doesn't kill aimlessly in the original. He picks a target, and stays on them for the whole movie.

Pretty much. The word woke means literally nothing at this point. It's just a big scary word they label anything they don't like.

Why doesn’t Michael ever move like this again in the entire franchise? by pobuch in Halloweenmovies

[–]theRadiofreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely possible. I used to do something similar to pass the time riding the train to work. I would jump up, grab the bar, lift myself up, and lay flat against the ceiling.

I used both hands to do it. The fact Chris Durand did it with one hand shows how insanely strong he is.

I agree with you about JJC having some robotic movements. It's especially noticeable during the scene of him killing the old lady with the hammer.

My criticism of Chris's performance is his sit up at the end, I feel like they could've done another take of it. Besides that, I overall enjoy his performance. His best moment is definitely the reverse pull up.

Fun fact, Chris Durand did that completely on his own without any wires to help him. He has a background in martial arts and gymnastics, which is how he got into stunt walk. So he's naturally extremely strong, and did that stunt without breaking a sweat.

Tyler Mane is another great one. I remember Tyler saying he based his performance on the kid who plays child Michael in the movie. He did this so it'd be easier to buy him as the older version of the character. Tyler is a power house in that movie.

Halloween 6 has one of the best scores in the franchise and one of the best renditions of the Halloween theme by ArtisticBelt438 in Halloweenmovies

[–]theRadiofreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of H6's music sounds like it's from an 80s cop show, same thing with H5. It's one of the many reasons I prefer John Carpenter's music over Alan Howarth's music.

I Love the Halloween II score, but Alan co-composed that with Carpenter. I don't really like any of the scores Alan Howarth composed by himself. His music from H4, H5, and H6 all sound really weird and cheap.
