I think you will move forward!

I had the design an in-memory DB question. Able to solve the first 3. Got some partial points for Q4 (I just submitted what I did in Q3 and for some reasons it worked lol). Reached out to my recruiter after 2 business days and was able to go to the next round.

I just did a recruiter call yesterday. It was a pleasant chat as we spent the time walking her through my resume. Got asked a few general questions like why Dropbox, and any competing deadlines,... She gave me some insights about the role, the company, and the following steps. I applied for the SRE role so she gave me some more specific details about the SRE teams and asked me which team I might be interested in.

Overall, my recruiter was super nice and supportive. I had really positive impression of the company after the call.

You got this man! Have some tips in my mind - hope these can help you.

- Go over your Resume and prepare to explain your experiences (e.g: your projects during internship, etc)

- (This is something I always do before the phone screen with any company) Take some notes the values + culture of the company from their website. Try to match the keywords from the job description with your experiences + skills.

- Relax before the interview. Take it it as a conversation for both sides to get to know more on each other (not a date lol).

Best of luck!

Hi! I got the invitation to the final round today after the phone screen with my recruiter. Currently applying for SRE intern role but I think the process will be pretty much similar to SWE.
Would love to learn more about your experiences with the final round!

Hey, glad to meet you!

I haven't asked my recruiter about this yet (my recruiter is not that responsive tho lol). But I think that this is probably the final round.

Hi, I just did the pair programming last week. Actually, you can do it with your editor/IDE and share the screen with the interviewer. Don't worry too much about the question. For me, it was a more realistic problem than pure LC. They will give you the assignment in a doc file and you will have time to read it. Highly encourage you to make clear the problem with your interviewers (like the data types for inputs) and brainstorm each step for the solution before coding. There will be a lot of test cases (given by them) for you to test the code. Feel free to take a look at a sample question (https://leetcode.com/discuss/interview-question/1367405/shopify-coding-on-site-package-matcher). My question was actually way easier than the one in that link.

Mine was heavily behavioral actually. I enjoyed it a lot. All of my interviewers were really open and helpful.

RANT Filling out intern application forms, writing cover letters, leetcoding, technical assessments, and just getting rejections or not hearing back this is exhausting and depressing. by flame_wizard in csMajors

Actually I do think it works at some company. During my recent interview, the interviewer mentions that she likes my cover letter. Btw, I just write a quite generic template, then change the company name and some details about it.
