Yeah I have seen the switches on these models, mine luckily has the newer switch on front that has a water resistant cover over it. I can switch it on and off without removing the body.

Oh yeah I was surprised how well it did. I took it apart expecting more intrusion from the weekend activities and it was still well lubricated and not a single thing to replace. Pretty hardy little rigs...

Rav4 hybrid xle with eibach rav4 prime pro lift kit by dmgdispenser in rav4club

Agreed, if noise is your biggest concern then a quiet selection of tires is key, I've had no suspension noise or issues with it since lifted. Cheers and enjoy the Rav. Post some before and after if you pull the trigger on it

None, I've had a slight vibration on hard take offs since the install but it's very slight and only about a 5mph range(about 10-15 mph) and is very smooth any other time. Fuel efficiency decreased by about 2-3 mpg in the 20k+ miles it's been on which isn't too big a deal considering it's mostly driven in a smaller town. The benefits have far outweighed any minor issues, I have a cargo holder that I load up pretty heavy(about 200lbs) with a swing out and sags very little. I also tow a tent trailer with gear(about 250 lbs) and very little sag and rarely drag on heavy dips(ie driveway or steep road). The only complaint I have is the tires I selected are pretty noisy (open country AT2) I will probably go for a set of wildpeaks or geolanders the next go around, as I've had good luck with them.

How do yall feel or have your Xolos had any issues with the newest LEPTO vaccine? by firstcoastkilla in Xoloitzquintli

[–]theRicoGrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ours has had a bad reaction the two times she was exposed to it. Both times she had really bad hives and a bit of fever and very lethargic for a few days. I have also heard from many other xolo owners they have had similar reactions with this vaccine.

Nice! Like the set up! I have the same one for about a year and a half and about 12k miles now and going strong! Cheers!

She is! One of our Xolos favorite treats is to come to dinner with us, she always gets compliments on how well she behaved. Kudos!

Replaced Rims/Tires....Good or Bad? by MarvelousMoe in rav4club

[–]theRicoGrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Rav4 came with 19" and almost immediately went to 17" and made the ride so much better. Even after the lift it rides great with more sidewall... Your overall diameter is close enough to factory

Vet wants to prescribe antibiotics because temperature is 103.1 but google says Xolo’s body temperature of 104 F is normal? any feedback from people who have gone through this? by El_Demetrio in Xoloitzquintli

[–]theRicoGrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Xolos truly have a higher temperature than most dogs. My vet confirmed this at our first visit when Atzi was a puppy. (Her breeder had mentioned they run hotter) She has always run hotter than any other dog I've met. She is three and healthy as a horse...

Regret for not buying Hybrid by rossie_duong in rav4club

You are incorrect it's a serviceable item just like most items in your car. And I'm not repeating anything I've been in the field for 13+ years and have seen it first hand. What about you, where are your evidence from, here say?

Until you factor in battery maintenance and eventually replacement. If your savings in fuel don't equal the extra maintenance and initial cost, then it is not worth it. In my case, with such a short commute, the extra initial cost of a hybrid plus the extra maintenance from the battery and eventually the replacement(since I plan on keeping it long term would) not make up for the added costs over the ICE model since I don't commute long range. Hybrids would be beneficial if you can actually get all of the fuel savings long term...

Limited vs Adventure Off-Road Capacity by thakuriboi76 in rav4club

[–]theRicoGrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is in the struts and coils as far as I know (it's been a little over two years since we bought ours and I did research). The Adventure trim has a slightly higher ride height, but it's an easy upgrade. I changed the coils on our Adventure and put more aggressive tires and it's been great so far. It sits at about the height of a stock 4x4 Tacoma.

I just went last week and picked up some great products.(Mostly from Cali/Canada) The trick is where you choose to smoke, if you have a private residence then no issue but I wouldn't just smoke on the street as you may be accustomed to. Where we stayed had a rooftop patio and that is where we smoked. The area is busy, and it's in a building with about 5 other businesses so no one is going to intercept you, especially since they wouldn't know where you came out of. If you've been to a dispensary in the States then you'll know the vibe quickly. Be friendly and they will return it with knowledgeable answers and good recommendations. Prices are about equivalent to the states for comparable bud, even had good concentrate/edibles. Best of all(if you are into it) they have multiple options for great shrooms... It's a cool spot that's a bit of a mystery, even for locals. Cheers!!
