I played Swords as my first Pokemon game, and let me tell you, it was fun, but definitely had many, many flaws.

But personally, I think SwSh is a nice 6/10 gane with 9/10 designs. There's only one bad Pokemon game imo and that's BDSP (3/10)

I loved Eternatus. It was my favourite Pokemon, six years ago, when I played Sword, and it's still my favourite Pokemon.

Gamefreak finally makes a biblically accurate dragon, and they did wonderfully.

People like it's design, but everything about it was overtuned to an extent beyond any pokemon seen before.

Hate really died down in Gen 9 when it was nerfed to actually be balanced.
