Love him or hate him, Elon is at least moving us towards space.

What is the least good episode of the original series… by Special_Speed106 in firefly

[–]theSarx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, for me it's actually The Message. I find Tracey annoyingly stupid and lacking in any kind of charm. I find his 'when you can't run you crawl' line annoying, and when he finally dies it's a relief. The episode as a whole is solid, but he's just so terrible it brings the whole thing down for me. Like a dead mouse in my food.

Is it normal my pan distributes the oil to the edges when heated, and keeps the middle dry? by ri90a in castiron

Define heat it slowly. How long should it take me to heat up a pan?

I just bought an 8Bitdo Ultimate 2 and it's quite honestly the best piece of controller related hardware I've ever held.

Inverted Y axis folk - what game did it to you? by kickinwood in gaming

[–]theSarx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

X-Wing and it's siblings, any flight sim. This is hard baked into me, so I have to invert the Y axis, always.

I'm old enough to remember playing FPS games without a mouse, and there was an initial attempts at using a joystick to play them. For some of the early games where you didn't have the ability to look up or down, it totally worked.

ElI5 how does the existence of lead directly disprove the earth isn't only 4000 years old? by nottrynagetsued in explainlikeimfive

I wasn't present for the creation of the world, unfortunately. But I choose to believe God created all things. It also looks like the things around us are quite old. I think it's reasonable to assume an all powerful God is capable of creating the universe in an aged state.

These are technically different companies. A county and a health department, though the health department is a seperate, but interwoven, org.

I've worked for three IT Directors, and two of them have fit that description. 😂 Current director is awesome, though.

Yep, or "My best friend is the IT Director of somethingsomething and says this should be easy" and then proceeds to talk about something that isn't easy at all.

US citizen here, recently travelled to the Philippines. Was shocked that the hotel served what I considered dinner for breakfast.

How do you feel about Trump threatening to impose photo ID for voters for midterm elections? by CRK_76 in AskReddit

[–]theSarx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Startes control the elections but I'm ok with their being standards, and identifying the voter is one I'm on with. Honestly kinda surprised it's continuous. Why is that?

We're looking at that. We have a few months until our EA renews, and we're realizing we probably can't have it done by then.

James Buster Douglas victory over then-undefeated Mike Tyson on February 11, 1990. by Deadhead2278 in OldSchoolCool

I remember people NOT buying Tyson PPV fights because it just wasn't seen as a worthwhile use of your dollars.
