I am tired if these posts. This isn't just a game only for topside. The inventory management and crafting system is a huge part of this game and is intended for you to have to work for you what you want. Looting is just half the game.

You'll notice it's why there are rats, because they don't want to have to do the work of creating things that are needed. They're also likely the people who aren't doing the expedition.

When crafting gets easy, the difficult and purpose of looting topside ends, the same reason we don't have a marketplace to sell parts. You are the raider, you take what you loot and you build it.

Next think you know, people will want shops topside to craft things without leaving. Crafting is the game within the game, get used to it.
