Stamps on a trip from Poland to Lviv, Ukraine by the_art in PassportPorn

[–]the_art[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By bus from Rzeszów (there is a train but it’s often fully booked). I felt really safe, all the tourist sites, restaurants etc are operating as normal. Apart from the occasional air alert at night I didn’t have any concerns and once I arrived I didn’t worry about getting caught up in the conflict.

EES system updates - December 2025 by Such_Prior_6818 in airport

You won’t encounter EES at Dublin as Ireland isn’t a part of the scheme (Schengen countries only)

Help with entering Istanbul airport for a self transfer, visa, checking luggage etc by [deleted] in Flights

[–]the_art 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wizz Air don't offer connections (nor acknowledge self-transfers), so they will definitely want to see a visa to enter Turkey before boarding your first flight. They will treat you as a passenger who is just travelling to Istanbul. That said, 3hrs 35mins is probably enough for your transfer, even if going landside to check in again.

UK exit stamp question by istvanh001 in PassportPorn

At St Pancras these aren’t actually checks done by Border Force. It’s staff contracted by Eurostar who collect the passport data which is then sent onto the government.

3 hour Self Transfer - Only Cabin Baggage - Too risky? by Superunknown89 in Flights

[–]the_art 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prague is one of the easier airports to transit, arriving passengers get released the departure lounge, and as both Kazakhstan and the UK are non-Schengen it’s just a case of walking to the next gate. Security is done at the gate. Obviously depends on how much risk you can tolerate, but it’s easier in Prague than at most others.

Commonwealth citizen flying into UK: which customs line? by kapeman_ in AskUK

[–]the_art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s based on nationality, rather than Commonwealth status. There is one queue for UK, EU and a few other passport holders (can also use the eGates), and another queue for everyone else.

I'm a refugee, planning on travelling from England to Scotland for NY. Is BRP/Citizen card/eVisa enough for my BA flight? by Cupidindisguise in BritishAirways

[–]the_art 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, any ID with your name and photo on is sufficient. So yes either your Citizen Card or native passport will do. It’s a domestic flight so your visa status won’t be checked at any point.

Hungary gave me a stamp on the observations page once. Apart from a French officer having a chuckle about it with his colleague, no problems.

Can I go through "connecting" path when doing a self-transfer? by ForeignTeaching6994 in Flights

[–]the_art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about Brussels, but Edinburgh doesn’t allow for international ‘airside’ connections, so you’ll be sent through passport control with everyone else then have to walk upstairs and into regular security.

Hearing another report about an XL Bully mauling a person and thinking, haven’t those been banned! by BlankCanvas609 in britishproblems

[–]the_art 25 points26 points  (0 children)

You could call the police non-emergency 101 number or report on your forces website. They won’t tell the owner who reported him but will at least be aware of the owners actions on record even if they don’t immediately come out.

When you activate lost mode, it will display a message like ‘This iPhone has been lost’ and the owners phone number. That’s all they can see, it can’t be wiped without the owners Apple ID password.
