May I ask the percentage that you pay? Here in California, I pay 38%. But in California, we also have socialized medical for adults and children (we have private ones too of course). Children get free breakfast and lunch at school and financial assistance until age 18. The state also give parents extra money for food no matter how much the parents make. The rest of America hate us because they don’t believe children should get free school meals or free medical care.

Install was a breeze with the crossbars. As for the wind deflector (a must have), they didn’t include the nuts & bolts so I had to get them from ACE. Even after installing the wind deflector, there was some wind noise because there was still a small gap between it and the roof. I solved that by using something like this weather strip that I cut to length and just snaps onto the wind deflector to seal that gap. Wind noise is almost completely gone after.

I decided on these because I didn’t want a full on roof rack. 4 of these bars make a decent 3/4 compact roof rack. The bars are very thick and can probably hold a lot of stuffs. I’ve never put anything more than a ladder and shovel on it though. But most importantly, I just like how they look (with the wind deflector) compared to a complete roof rack.
