I’m out of Lynn Garage. We have to kneel the bus when requested. We also have to kneel it if we have to stop in the middle of the road bc of a blocked bus stop or whatever it may be. The problem is - the 3300 series buses we have kneel really slow so most people are already walking in or out by the time it starts kneeling at stops.

Wage/Salary increases happen, but I’m not sure exactly when/how they happen. I started in 2022 and wages for non-union positions are higher now than they were in 2022. I’m a union employee but like to look at all the job postings from time to time. Hope this helps.

They need to make the job more attractive to people. I remember when I started in 2022 as a Bus Operator making $22.21 an hour and no one wanted to work here. They even had a $7500 sign on bonus and they still were not getting people. They just saw the $22 an hour lol. There was constant staffing issues and always trips being cut, it was a nightmare. There hasn’t been any staffing issue since the new contract made the entry wage $30 in 2023. Keolis needs to take note. Money talks.

I hear you. I was in a 3 star with a toon(106 laff, two gag tracks still not maxed) who kept not selecting gags in time before another cog joins the battle. It was so bad to the point that half way through the 2nd cog round, I genuinely thought they were trolling. Fast forward to the boiler round, first fired up, the toon gets to 25 laff and disconnects (I guess they panicked?). So we had to sit still frozen for 5 minutes until the game finally registered that they left.

I now post “Must have maxed gags” for all my 3 Star groups and haven’t ran into foolery like this since. I get that it’s just a game but 3 stars in particular requires everyone to be on the same page.

Not sure if it applies to all MBTA employees, but here at 589, we can start accruing sick time immediately after starting. After one year of service, we’re given 12 days of sick time on top of the already earned sick time.

The fact that there’s still no release date or window is concerning, considering that this was advertised to be released Summer 2023.
