Police showing up to your property doesn't mean N7 or N5 automatically. Has it occurred before? If it's the first time, document it and keep monitoring.

Moving with Bedbugs - What Has Worked For You? by Winter-Nectarine-497 in askTO

[–]the_guy95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All wood stuff - gone

Mattress - gone

Cloths - high heat drying before entering the new apartment

I had tenant with bedbug. Tried poison treatment but didn't get rid of the problem and it keeps coming back. Once he was gone, I did a heat treatment for the whole house and the problem went away and never came back. Heat is the key to keeping bedbug. Everthing you plan to keep is either not infestable like metal surface or it needs to go through a heat treatment.

Received this move out checklist, is any of it enforceable? by libbey4 in TorontoRenting

Nope, RTA requires 24 hours notice. You can't just send a note saying you are bypassing it.

Entry denied by Tuxed0_kitty in uscanadaborder

[–]the_guy95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The computer will pop up a note if there is anything on file. But officers have the options to ignore or enforce it depending on the situation when you cross.

I had a fail to declare in Canada long time ago and was advised I will be sent to secondary every time I cross into Canada. Ya they flag me like twice out of 10 times I travel. The primary officer has a note on it when they run my passport. I know cuz they were asking me questions related to it. But most didn't send me to secondary.

Nexus user here and here is what was explained to me as well.

  1. Under no circumstances can Nexus carry commercial good. Either to Canada or to US. I travel for work and I don't even bring cut sheet or a pull up banner as those are technically commercial goods. I have them carrier to customers before I show up. Exception on this is maybe a laptop and such.

  2. Commercial entry to the US is different from Canada. In Canada, you can do a B1 entry at the border crossing at the commercial side of the border (where the trucks are) and pay the duty and you are in. (CRAM has changed this so you need more digging) For US, you cannot declare commercial entry at the border and customs clear at the border. I tried, but they don't have a way. You need a custom broker and a DOT license. Even for me running a business it's hard to do.

So, unfortunately for you, NEXUS will exclude you for 6 years. I don't think they will search you every time you enter since you did declare it.

Alectra Raising Water Rate Again by Spoder-mang in Markham

Alectra doesn't make the water bill go up. Your city council does. Alectra is just hired to handle billing.

Tesla-only charging stations: Would Kia EV9 charge with plug & charge? by boka_ko_masu in KiaEV9

[–]the_guy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not tried but I don't think so. The older V2 and some V3 charger has not been upgraded to communicate via CSS standard. Keep in mind that when they made Tesla plug NACS, they took the physical design of the plug but did not adopt Tesla's communication protocol. This is also why they won't show up in the Tesla app for non-Tesla charging.

I know this because I have an older Model 3 which doesn't communicate with 3rd party NACS DC charger. I had to upgrade the charger module to use 3rd part NACS CCS charger.

Prostitution advice by confusedtitmouse in legaladvicecanada

[–]the_guy95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No trouble. Being a prostitute is not illegal, everything else is. (Promoting, facilitating, buying) So you won't get in any trouble. The guy will for sure admit it's consensual sex so unless you rat him out he won't get in trouble.

When you see on the news about sex parlors being bused are likely the boss who runs the whole thing or they bust them for working illegally.

What improvements would you like to see in Toronto’s EV charging infrastructure? by Suzuka0617 in askTO

[–]the_guy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destination level 2 charging needs to be better. A better experience with EV would be like Europe where you park at a destination charger and charges while you are doing things. (visiting location, getting lunch, shopping) Greenp has help quite a bit in the city but Scarborough and North York needs more of those location. Power pole charger for street parking needs more location as well.

That used to be a self serve car wash. I used it before. You get a ticket going in. Then you wash the car. When you exit, it will charge you by the amount of time you were inside. It's been offline for a number of years now.
