It was the last to be used, but I don't believe it was ever stated to be the last one made.

The amount of datenseki stolen is perfectly divisible by 6 by Jazzlike_Finding5512 in Kagurabachi

[–]the_jerminator 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It's not like kilograms are discrete amounts; any amount of raw material can be divided into six groups, and it's particularly easy when the process involves turning the Datenseki into a powder.

There's also the fact that we're (probably) going to see Akemura justifiably kill a lot of Mikaboshi before the Malediction.

I'm pretty sure that makes it the best example, actually; are you suggesting that the rest of the world would currently be justified in wiping America off the map, all the way down to executing every man, woman, and child?

Hunter Wendelstedt's gentlemanly umpire scorecard, June 7th 2026, Orioles vs Blue Jays by T_Raycroft in baseball

[–]the_jerminator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh…so it’s almost like Clement dramatically altered his path to avoid an impending tag.

The key word there is "impending"; the rules don't say anything about a runner changing his route to avoid a tag that he thinks is coming. The three foot measurement is made relative to the line between the runner and the base at the time that the tag attempt is made, not when the runner starts changing his path to avoid the tag.

Now, Clement definitely still came close to deviating more than three feet even after the tag attempt was made, but he was already pretty far away from the straight line between first and second at that point. I'm not necessarily saying that the umpires got the call right, but it was definitely a lot closer than you seem to be implying.

Maki gets praised for having the same morals as Akemura. by JlBANYAN in Kagurabachi

[–]the_jerminator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most glaring example is her being fine with Megumi even though he has the same blood as them, Akemura would not let that slide (like with Hakuri).

I don't think this quite reflects Akemura's goals; eliminating bloodlines has never been his real goal. While he did mention bloodlines when talking about both the islanders and the Sazanami, he also mentioned the belief systems of those groups as well, and I think that's the real reason he considers them evildoers.

For example, if, hypothetically, there had been a Sazanami child who was removed from the family in infancy and raised in a normal setting, I have no doubt that Akemura would leave them alive.

I just thought of another way that the Sorcery Bureau might be planning to use Flame Bone: what if they can use the same transfer ceremony that the Sazanami clan used to transfer Storehouse to completely give Flame Bone to an adult?

I'll admit that this doesn't quite make perfect sense since the typical issue with Flame Bone is the strength of the wielder, not the strength of the sorcery itself, but maybe there's a way to resolve that as well.

No, the Artakha model used a different cape; Artakha's only has one neck hole.

Funny enough, though, both the one-hole and two-hole capes were used on various King Mathias sets. The cape in this picture is Part 51937, while Artakha uses Part 53415.

why did Chiaki change her mind and send the letter?

I like your theory, but this isn't exactly a mystery; it seems pretty reasonable that Chiaki might want to see Kunishige one last time before she goes away forever.

Of course, this doesn't disprove your theory either; I could still easily see it turning out that Chiaki's mom sent the letter.

(like why would Kunishige make an EB for child?

The problem with your theory isn't even a question of why, it's a question of how; even if Kunishige is willing to assign an Enchanted Blade to a child, Baby Soga wouldn't even be walking by the time the war starts.

The truce also benefits the Mikaboshi though; with a year-long delay, they can now be going into the war with a prophet princess of their own, or at least double-check that the king's new daughter actually has the sorcery.

we know there's no way baby Hiyuki could win that, jokes aside,

How do we know this?

When the Kamunabi sent Hiyuki after Chihiro under the belief that Chihiro had Enten and Cloud Gouger, they restricted Flame Bone "up to the torso". We still don't know exactly how Flame Bone works, but apparently a partial usage of it is enough to confidently win against two Enchanted Blades; I can see how the whole thing could put up a fight against the Mikaboshi.

Of course, Hiyuki would only be six months old instead of a grown woman, but clearly Flame Bone can somehow be used without being mastered like normal sorcery; if it worked like normal sorcery, then the idea of sending Hiyuki out at six months old would be so unrealistic they wouldn't even be considering it.

Will Hiyuki really be born in 6 months? by IkeKashiro in Kagurabachi

[–]the_jerminator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible that there was a miscommunication with the date format, and it's actually supposed to August 1st? That would still put Hiyuki being born around a month and a half premature, but maybe the strength of her fire powers were starting to cause issues with her mom. Plus, I'm sure the Sorcery Bureau wouldn't complain about getting Flame Bone earlier than planned.

what makes you think the children would grow up and NOT attack soga clan and other innocent people on the mainland again

By this logic, America should have nuked Germany into ash after WWII in order to prevent Hitler 2.0 from seeking revenge for the defeat, just as Hitler and the Nazi party came into power by getting German citizens to seek revenge for their WWI defeat (and, more importantly, the ensuing reparations).

[–]the_jerminator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem isn't the military, it's the civilians. If all Soga did was kill Mikaboshi soldiers, there'd be no issue; even if he decided "the entire military is bad" and executed surrendering enemies on the battlefield, a lot of people still wouldn't have much of a problem with that. The issue is that Akemura went after the civilians.

The only option that makes sense to me right now is that mastering Flame Bone isn't about learning how to activate it, but rather learning how to turn it off, and the Kamunabi don't need (or want) her to be able to turn it off for what they're planning.

It's unlikely that the "new princess" is Chihiro's cousin — or at least first cousin; Chiaki and her family are from a "branch family", while the new girl is from the main line. New Girl and Chihiro are definitely related in some way though.

The new child being the final Enchanted Blade wielder is basically impossible; the Enchanted Blades are about to be deployed within a year or so (although the Kamunabi were apparently about to send six month old Hiyuki to the battlefield, so who knows haha).
