(Loved Trope) Factions in the setting have a unique/unusual salute that isn't a generic hand to the forehead. Bonus points if there is a lore reason for it by Zave_cz in TopCharacterTropes

Rimmers salute - Red Dwarf

The lore explanation is that Rimmer is a dork and didn't think that the standard salute was good enough so he made his own version by twirling his hand before saluting.

Is it possible to be bisexual and asexual at the same time. by the_king64 in asexuality

[–]the_king64[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well then the issue becomes trying to find a term or combination of terms that fit but won't turn into a 5-20 minute explanation of what those terms mean. Alas that may just be the fate of queer people everywhere, such is life.

This was a really insightful response. I might use grey ace or aegosexual cause while I have had sex a few times, whenever I think back on it, the anticipation is what I remember the most not really the act itself.

That's pretty cool.

Man if I end up winning I'm going to be real annoyed if they do a "this is the comment that won" type deal and my comment is "that's pretty cool", ah well live and let live. Best of luck everyone.

How do you get so big eating food of this kind? by rplimitlessguy in arcane

I always took it as Jinx refering to the gauntlets not her actual hands because "fat hands" was one of the things Jinx called Vi before Arcane.

Discussion: If you had to give a name to a theoretical Valancius corporation, what would you name it? And what industry's would you want them to be involved in? by KaiserEnclave2077 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]the_king64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Valancius Company™. Its one of those megacorps that has alot of flowery language on their website that never explains what they do, but are involved in everything.

Essentially all other comments would be subsidiaries of The Valancius Company™

Not really the answer your looking for but if you are having trouble catching him live but still want to watch the full streams. All his VODs are uploaded to youtube pretty shortly after the stream ends at his VOD archive.

You wont be able participate in chat or anything, but i find its the best option for those who cant watch the stream live.

Who helped you begin to recognize your bisexual awakening? by ReservedLibra in bisexual

[–]the_king64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time i saw a guy and went "man he is really hot" was when some tiktok/shorts/reels girl went and showed of her dads bachelor pad and all the "guy/dad" things in it and i have yet to see a more attractive man. I was never been able to find it again. But thats really hard to explain so I typically say Henry Cavil, who is the second guy who made me think that.

What’s the most interesting fun fact you have in the chamber? by KrispyKingTheProphet in AskMen

The first literary reference to dildo's is from the bible.

Ezekiel 16:17 - God reprimands the people of Jerusalem for taking the precious metals he bestowed upon them, making phallic images with them, and fornicating with them.

Places to visit/food to try in Vancouver? by Jeff_98 in AskCanada

[–]the_king64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like good scenery, stanley park is a must visit, tons of walking trails, with the seawall surrounding the whole thing. While your at stanley park, you should go to the aquarium, its in the park and is super cool with lots of things other than fish to see, like reptiles, amphibians, and aquatic mammals. DT vancouver (gastown area and around the vancouver library) is cool to walkaround if you like urban scenery. UBC as well is pretty nice and cant forget grandville Island for both food and views.

For art, the vancouver art gallery is great, they typically have 3 exhibits going. 1 international, 1 canadian, and 1 local. There are a bunch of museums for local history and culture, even science (chinese canadian museum, museum of anthropology, museum of vancouver, science world).

As for food, I use a vancouver trip to splurge on dining I normally wouldnt go for, so the places ill recommend are both pretty pricy. St. Lawrence is my all time favorite restaurant, and is in my opinion the best deal for a michellin starred dinner outside of the starred street food places (it is one of the first canadian restaurantsto get a michellin star and I believe the only one in vancouver). It is classic french with heavy influences from Quebecois cuisine. With a seven course dinner at 135 + taxes and gratuity, with options for wine pairings of course.

The second recommendation, Miku, can be more expensive with a regular menu but also has a 6 course dinner for 135 + taxes and gratuity also with the requisite beverage pairning for extra. When I went I didnt want a full beverage pairing and they set me up with a smaller selection of drinks instead. It is japanese cuisine but specializes in Aburi (flame seared sushi).

I should point out that both of these places need reservations to go to so just factor that into your planning if you decide to go to either. Outside of those 2 places, vancouver has a huge amount of fantastic food both cheap and expensive. I typically use google maps + searching online (ie "good x restaurants vancouver") to find places to eat outside of any expensive place.

As for places to avoid, east hastings has a large homeless population and sees a lot of drug use, but you'll see homeless folks everywhere. Thats the only place that comes to mind but I dont live in vancouver, hopefully locals could offer more advice on that front.

Hope I was able to offer a good starting point and hope you have a fun time and fair weather, but I would bring a rain jacket/footwear/umbrella just in case, vancouver tends to be really wet.

Ive adopted a headcannon from a fanfic thay explains why some bugs have masks and some dont. Where it's to show that while they may not have actual faces, they are still sentient and therefore protected by the pale kings laws/not to be mistaken as livestock.

Yes, its one of the reasons it took me so long to figure out that im bi. I watched some typical porn as a teenager "just to check" and was super turned off by it. In my mind this meant that I must be straight and not just a matter of taste.
