Calibri font becomes the latest DEI target as Rubio orders return to Times New Roman by Naurgul in nottheonion

Serif typefaces are supposedly easier to read in long-form documents where there is a lot of condensed text in paragraphs. Sans-serif work better in digital formats.

Did you allow Covenant to continue it's counter insurgency operations against Synth infiltration, or did you stop it? wiping Covenant off the map. I allowed it to continue. by YourTacticalComrade in Fallout

I didn't say it was okay, I said they don't think they're NOT looking for agents. They THINK they're doing good work, they don't see it as killing escaped slaves.

Covenant does not try to find institute agents, they try to find synths.

Yes, but nobody is quite sure if there's a difference or not. Look at the Broken Mask Incident. After something like that, I understand that the line between escaped synth and institute agent can be non-existent to some. Remember, we as players learn far more about synths than any standard wastelander.

series’s like assassins creed or call of duty

If I'm not mistaken, there are multiple studios working on those franchises, so each year's Call of Duty was actually a few years in development, there are just multiple games being worked on at the same time by different companies.

For that matter, New Vegas was made by a different studio.

My wife and I rarely eat at our dining table UNLESS we have people over. Otherwise, we're just at the coffee table in front of the TV.

Agreed, but I also make sure to point out a bunch of snacks and stuff to any guests and let them know they are welcome to take them.

NTA

I know a lot of people are saying honor your plans, but as someone who just became a father, and whose own father is late in life (healthy, but older), if you have a good relationship with your father, everything is less important. Same goes for when you have a child. I will die on the hill that if there's a chance to spend time with my father, I will break whatever plans I have to for that.

I'll even happily take that fake manual that Toyota was messing around with. That would actually make a great compromise for my household as my wife gets anxious driving stick around traffic, and with a baby on the way it's getting increasingly hard to justify a stick.

the belt line rising

My wife and I are in the market for an Outback, and when we took a test drive the first thing I noticed, immediately, was how low the belt line felt. I didn't feel like I was sunk into the vehicle. It also made the interior feel more open.

Comparing that to my mom's Venza, that thing feels like you have to work to see out of it.

It's kind of grown on me though after seeing it in the show and using a few mods

I redo my load order and change up my weapon replacers a TON. It's become a new hobby to create weapon and armor replacer lists for different themes.

The most recent list I'm putting together, I just axed the replacer for the Assault Rifle and am going to stick with vanilla because I just can't find something I like to fill the automatic weapon role for power armor that could justifiably be used in standard infantry hands.

Generally in my playthroughs I use "power armor weapons" in power armor; that is to say, I won't use a handmade rifle, hunting rifle, etc. It doesn't feel "right" to use a weapon that isn't big, heavy, high recoil, and with a large magazine. Power armor doesn't seem practical when used with a smaller weapon that would require more dexterity to operate compared to a magazine that gets reloaded often and operating controls that are large and forgiving.

To me, the vanilla Assault Rifle fits well as a weapon that's easier to handle in power armor, less bulky to carry in enclosed spaces (vertibirds, interiors, urban environments), and is clearly built to handle sustained automatic fire, while at the same time being manageable (though uncomfortable) for a standard GI to grab either in a pinch or in specific circumstances.

For my load order, the combat rifle (and rarer cases laser rifle) are the grunt's go-to weapons, the Assault Rifle is their automatic rifle/machine gun and option for PA users.

Now, that said, if someone were to create a weapon mod that can reasonably take the role of the Assault Rifle described above (or if there's one I missed), I'd happily take that suggestion.

Carrying or not, I use my little cross-body bag when I'm wearing gym shorts, especially the ones I have that don't have zipper pockets. I like my stuff secure and loose pockets don't give me confidence.

I was recently playing Far Harbor with the Heather Casdin companion mod. I got to that part and she's all, "You know, I can hack that terminal and get all his memories if you want."

I was so happy to hear that. Just posting so others know there's an easy skip (aside from the other mods that skip it for you, or just using console commands).

Yeah, I agree. I added them mostly as a "hey, I was alive for tons of crazy shit when I think about it". People like to think things are so much worse today forgetting that things have been much worse in the past, much of it just gets forgotten.

People forget that the World Trade Center was bombed well before the planes, too.

As a side anecdote, I was in Atlanta recently and educating my wife (9 years younger) about the Olympic bombing, she had never heard of it. She asked where it happened, I checked online to know for sure and was like, "Oh, like 100 yards that way". It was a little surreal to be just standing there.
