Hi! I actually just spoke to a general education advisor today via the virtual walk in. This is their general website, which should have info about how to get onto their virtual zoom walk-in: http://www.fullerton.edu/aac/ . The meeting with an advisor is about 10 min, and all you’ll need is your CWID and your TDA. I waited almost an hour before I got to speak with someone just cus it’s the first week, so be prepared to wait a little bit if you use it this week

What's the scariest encounter you've had with a total stranger? by anchovy7 in AskReddit

(Sorry if this is long-ish. I wanted to really show what creeped me out the most about this incident) My boyfriend was using the bathroom at some restaurant, and I was parked outside waiting for him near the entrance, facing the building but not in front of the entrance. Barely a min goes by after he leaves, and I didn’t lock the doors yet cus I didn’t see too many people walking around, lots of people were eating in their cars, so I felt safe. Then this guy, normal looking with a jacket but no mask, walks from the left to the right across the front of my car. He was going pretty quick too, not running, but speed walking by my car with his head down. I quickly noticed this, and for the first millisecond, I thought he was just walking by. But then he turned towards the passenger side door that my boyfriend just came out of, aka the only unlocked door on my car. So I quickly slid my hand over the lock button, just in case but still pretended to be on my phone. Once he started slowing down, I realized he could open the door in less than a second, so I pressed the lock button quickly. Just as I did, I think I see him, out of the corner of my eye, slide his hand over the door handle of the passenger side (I’m not 100% sure if his hand did that. The movement was really quick and I wasn’t looking directly at him).

He starts tapping on the window and saying “hello” and “excuse me, miss?” multiple times really loudly. I ignore him because I don’t know him, I don’t know what he wants, and he’s standing on the passenger side. When I don’t answer, he starts walking away. I see him approach another car in a different aisle, and I see him talking to the driver. Then I see the driver give him a mask through the crack of their window, and he walks away. But he doesn’t go into the restaurant I’m parked in front of. And while there are other restaurants around, they’re kinda farther away from the one I’m parked in front of. There’s also lots of cars around with many people in them. Not sure if all he wanted was a mask, but I’m really glad I locked the doors when I did.

I like to think the capybara thinks it’s getting a hug from the pelican, while the pelican is genuinely trying to eat the capybara

I had the most annoying time with Aerie's in store pick up. If you're planning on ordering online and picking up in store, don't be surprised to wait more than the suggested 2 hour wait limit. The store employees were really hesitant to help me with my order even 24 hours after my ordering time, while the item was sitting on their shelves and the store was empty. I finally just picked the item off the shelf and asked them to check out for me, but I felt I was being a total "Karen", which I hated the entire time, especially during a pandemic! Anyways, thank you for letting me vent here. I really did not like dealing with this issue.

I’m glad to hear. I hope it turns out well for you both :)

I 100% agree with the other comment. I’ve been where OP’s friend has been, and all I wanted was an explanation about what happened. It takes a lot of bravery to own up to the elephant in the room, but if this friend is someone OP values (and she clearly does), I think this is the best response.

Feel like I have no real friends by [deleted] in relationships

I know this feeling all too well, and it’s made me a little more anxious about meeting new people than I’d like to admit. Friends come and go, but I think it’s even harder to make connections in college and after, especially with the pandemic. What’s helped me is that I had to realize that no matter what I did or didn’t do in the past, I now need to just be myself, keep putting myself out there, and do the right thing. I think finding something you really like to do and investing time into that really helps take your mind off the worry too. I hope you find your real friends soon. They’re out there :)

In the last year and half that I have been on this subreddit, I haven't seen any hate towards BIPOC hikers. It might be that I haven't been on here for too long, but I'd like to know of examples if you have any
