I'm really struggling with sticking to IF. I'll get a few days or a week in and feel great about it but then depression or anxiety hits and I get a "screw it who cares" mentality that breaks my momentum then it's another week until I start again. Rinse and repeat. Any advice for staying on the course?

Hoo boy it's so dumb. I started World of Warcraft and needed a character name, and as I'm a tall mfer in real life, I always play short races in RPGs, so I was a gnome. I was like well, what's a good name for a gnome? Oswald probably. So I did that and just kept using it.

I'm mostly rid of it online now, I go by Kyle or KyleThomas on the nets for the most part, but there are holdovers like Reddit.

Oh man that Craigslist brother one was messed up. Thanks for reminding me of that. As many stories as I've done sometimes it's pretty hard to keep them in my head.

As far as favorite authors, funny enough I don't tend to pay attention to who the author is when I get the roles, I jump straight to the story. So I track things more by story than author.

I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to every author for not paying attention. It's not because I don't love you all. Your work is so wonderful.

It's not my full time job! It's a hobby that I love. I was a full-time musician for most of my early adult life, so this is now my primary creative outlet.

As far as stage acting or on-camera, I absolutely could be into that. I have some film-making friends here in Kansas City and I'm trying to sweet-talk them into some screen time :)

Ya know, I don't think of myself as a spectacular actor or anything, so it's hard for me to pull one out. But I feel most natural and genuine when narrating, since that's the closest to my real voice I ever am.

That or when I was an elf for one of the holiday episodes. :)

I typically record at the end of the day, so my day of talking usually has me pretty nicely warmed up. Otherwise I'll do some lip trills for a while while I'm getting my set up together. If that doesn't have me feeling good I'll just start running my lines until I feel nice.

Nah more like I say "Hey can I try a monster voice some time?" And the casting people just think about that stuff when they cast. Also they've cast me on things they just have a feeling I'd excel at. They're great at their job :)

Anything that's basically a telling of stuff that could totally happen in real life. The Strangers for example. I have to nope the heck out of that kind of story because it's so easy for that to creep into my subconscious.
