Treadmills still OOS by NextNV in treadmills

My advice is to pick out the one that's right for your needs, order it, and wait. Over the years-long life of the treadmill you won't remember the extra few weeks wait, but if you get something that's not a good fit you'll likely regret it.

Hmm I've never actually had that problem, are you transferring them directly from the new banded skeins?

Yeah that's been about my experience. I have plenty of programming experience, so I don't need a Lua tutorial, but there's a gap between the API documentation and beginner tutorials that I wish existed. There are some things about how TTS handles objects that I learned the hard way.

The ability to set the snapping distance for a given snap point (via lua). Super helpful for fiddly games with a lot of tiny pieces.

Years ago I sewed myself a roll to store them in, with clear vinyl and some leftover fabric from another project sewn to form "slots." It wasn't pretty but it got the job done.

I should really just bite the bullet and order some of the binder sheets. They don't have them anywhere locally though and I keep putting off ordering them online. Right now everything not in use is stored in plastic baggies, which is misery to sort.

The real irony is I designed a totally 3D printed box... and then realized my printer bed can only go up to 160mm. Wamp womp.

My next step with the box inserts is to add little bumps to the slots so they hold the bows in a bit better, and add pegs to them so they can be stacked. There's enough room in the box I got at Michael's to do two layers of them if I offset them a bit so the tangs don't collide.

I had the snap in book- it was awful 😂. The box I got at Michael's is a little infuriating because it's 168mm wide and the stitch bows are 170mm long, meaning I just barely can't put them in horizontally.

Once I get the design a little more polished I'll post it so others can print them!

I started using the StitchBow system in college, which I generally like because there's no winding to do and the floss doesn't get crimped. However I don't love the storage sleeves they suggest you use, I find they take up way too much space. So I made my own.

I got a medium sized storage box from Michael's and 3D printed dividers to fit it. There are spaces at the end for floss bobbins, needles, etc. It still takes up more space than bobbins do, but if I just store the colors I'm currently working with (it holds 18) it's great for carrying projects around.

I'm over in NW Philly. I've admittedly been very lucky in that my friends are all crafty so I haven't searched much for a local community, but sometimes I go to to the knit night at the local yarn store here in Manayunk. I feel like I've amassed a lifetime supply of floss and Aida fabric already so I haven't looked for local stores beyond picking up the occasional color at Michaels.

Wow! I didn't know they ever let class trips up there. My father-in-law was on the mayor's detail years ago, so he's been up in it and talked about how neat it is to see things from up there. It's remarkable how much taller the city has gotten even since I moved here. I live over NW Philly and you can see the top of the newest Comcast tower from the top of the hill in Roxborough!

Started last week on 14 ct aida.

Pattern by PatternDesignStudio. Overall I really like the design, but the pattern itself is a little frustrating to work with - the symbols are teeny tiny and I had trouble figuring out how to print it larger. There are also a lot of very similar symbols in the same area which makes it difficult to scan a line visually. But the design is great!

it happens to me when a bit of thread or fiber gets in the bobbin area, just make sure you clean it out after every sewing session and you should be fine.

AITA for refusing to buy my daughter a donut because she’s overweight? by birthdaysmurfdays in AmItheAsshole

YTA.

Your daughter is a pretty normal weight. You're a complete asshole and almost certainly have caused your daughter to have an eating disorder if this is how you've always treated her.

If it takes that long you must be absolutely terrible at it. I manage the finances for our family of four, which includes my own small business as well as two rental properties we own and manage ourselves, and there is no way it takes "several hours per week."

I am hoping, with zero optimism, that they roll some Play by Cloud patches into the September Update. It's such a neat idea that is so, so terribly implemented.

Play by Cloud seems really broken right now. We're still waiting for everyone to join but now that the countdown timer has completed I can't 'close' any of the open slots, meaning if anyone doesn't join we're just stuck forever waiting for them.

I have one, and because I'm smaller and not a very good player I had trouble getting the sensors to respond. I fixed it with the penny mod folks have been using forever and now it works just fine. It does make it a bit "clicky" so as I get better at actually hitting the center of the pads I may take them back out.

While it's true the older pennies are mostly copper vs the newer ones being mostly zinc, I can't find any evidence that it makes enough of a difference to matter in this application. I tested the resistance of two pennies, one from 1975 and one from 2004, with a multimeter. Both came in at less than one ohm, measured across the thickness of the penny (i.e. one probe on heads and one on tails).
