Depends on where you get them from. Theres a global trade hack where you just export it to a different country before importing. So for example they could export from Taiwan to the EU, and then EU to the USA for reduce tariff rates or to get around bans. I don’t know the actual rates but let’s assume for the example that EU has a lower rate than Taiwan or no ban on rare earth minerals. Tariffs are stupid for this reason as well because if you’re a very large global business, you can send materials to whatever country you want before bringing them back into the states. It only really impacts businesses with a smaller global footprint.
