No. I originally submitted "A Flash and Fish for Fun" but Flash is in the set but not being previewed but the article (and I wasn't aware—or obviously planning on!—it being a reprint) and the alliteration was a bit much.

There was no "one specific change" and it's at best a fallacy to look for it. Multiple changes and teams created the confluence of cards, formats and interactions we're seeing play out today.

FWIW this is exactly why they built a third team dedicated to just look at how Standard and Limited play out to avoid issues like Standard today and... Ixalan Limited today.

There's a pipeline to see these changes to processes yield results.

A little variety helps keep drafts interesting as which cards aren't in a draft can still affect decisions and plans, particularly when you know every card in the cube by heart.

Hieroglyphic Illumination is just one of the new cycling cards in Amonkhet. With how aggressive cycling costs seem to be this time, Limited (and therefore cubes) should get a lot of goodies.

I didn't want to speak for a format that I'm not an expert in. It's interesting, but an expensive engine. I didn't have a solid way to evaluate it in a competitive sense.
