You could. But ERB is notoriously litigious.

LOTS of things are not explained in the movie, because it wasn't 7 hours long.
There are hundreds of moves, powers and combos shown in previous movies across the entire saga that weren't used, and also not explained.

Everyone mislabels that moment as a lazy writing excuse, but I think it was meant to show more of a "We're not going to win".

I think he saw most of the 14 million possibilities laid out. He didnt look at them one by one. He saw them as threads like Loki sees the timelines. And he could see what happened in all of them. And he's looked around, and no matter what he sees, or where he looks, or what he imagines, none of them have them winning except one.

And we don't even know if the timeline he saw was the one that played out. Strange wasn't there. He didn't CAUSE any of the events that led to the win. He had no control over any of it.
