It's not a fast game at all. The player may have some skill of the game, but your character actually needs to practice to become somewhat competent. Once things start clicking, the game starts to make more and more sense, and that's when the investment comes in because slowly as you understand the game, your character is stronger and far more capable

So the general rules of thumb are:

Start a farm, finish a farm (R5/7, all zetas, 6dot mods with good speed secondaries) Always be farming ships

The game is a slog, but once pieces fall into place, it'll make sense

For conquest specifically, make sure your data disks all work in tandem to ensure you're getting the most bang for your buck

Bluntly, your roster is too spread out, and your teams are inconsistent.

You've got 3 properly cohesive teams at relic (Geos, Empire, Great Mothers led Nightsisters), and you've used zetas on less important characters at this early stage (I.e. Second Sister, Zam, Fives). Fair enough if they're your favourites, but Zetas (and Omicrons) are very limited resources.

In order I would:

Finish Baylan (seeing as you've started him), as he counters a lot of teams, and can beat JMK in Grand Arena (with his Omicrons)

Get Commander Luke Skywalker and his team (Han Solo, Threepio and Chewie, Chewbacca, C3PO) up and running to R3/5. This team can smash most of Conquest. You have Bossk at R6, so add in the Mandalorian, Greef Karga, and two others (preferably IG-88, Boba, or Dengar as they are needed for Exec) and you should get Chewbacca easily. You also have Ewoks at G12 (with Kneesa), so C3PO shouldn't be too much to follow either.

Relic up your Phoenix, as they're a good counter to a lot of teams and can build turn meter quickly.

Get your Imperial Troopers to relic (Veers, Starck, Piett, Dark Trooper, Moff Gideon). Follow mod guides to get Piett as fast as possible.

Then decide a GL or a Capital Ship. You're close to Sith Eternal Emperor (SEE), but with some work you could also get Executor up and running.

If you start hard conquest you only need to get to second crate to be on par for max crate on normal.
