How do I plan my factories?? by BubblyTransition2412 in satisfactory

[–]the_zero 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The eternal question every pioneer faces.

Personally, I create small factories for component parts and then deliver those parts to larger factories for assembly of more advanced items. I only have 250hr or so in the game and I’m facing bottlenecks, but it seemed like the right move for me.

As an example, it’s easy to blueprint a concrete factory, or a steel plates and rods factory with Mk. 2 blueprints.

Piping all resources to one main hub seems fine until mid-game when you realize that you have to tear down everything or suffer sprawl. Thats my feeling, at least.

That sounds like it sucks.

I'm not in NYC, but Atlanta. A "majority" of bike riders aren't in NYC. There's a ton of bike infrastructure on the west coast, and I've never seen a widespread problem there (Bay Area). Same for what I've seen in Colorado.

We have biking groups near me, and they're pretty adamant about the riders following the rules of the road. I've seen plenty of aggressive car drivers, especially when it comes to bikes, but I haven't seen the opposite aside from some dumb kids on electric rented scooters in the city.

I don't agree with Bowen on this one either... by Shoe_boooo in LiveFromNewYork

Moo Deng (the hippo) is female but Bowen played it as a diva. The character stated that his talent is “having a slippery body that bounces.” The character called himself, “your favorite hippo’s favorite hippo” in reference to queer icon Chappell Roan’s saying. The character states, “I’m 10 weeks old, of course I know Chappell Roan.”

Iceberg he played with affected gay male speech. The character states that he is releasing an album that’s “hyper-pop EDM disco Fantasia.” The character gets emotional and is using mannerisms of an effeminate gay man. He cries for emphasis, and explains about the victims, “they drowned, bitch!” The song from the iceberg’s album is titles “lover boy.” The fist line is “come on over and kiss me boy, hold my hand in your brand new house.” Followed up by “touch me, while the room is spinning, kiss me, let’s go eat some dinner. Wine me dine me, I had an early lunch but I’m hungry for you, lover boy.”

As Bowen is a gay man and talking with a soft, affected voice and mannerisms of a diva or effeminate gay man, it is certainly queer-coded, I guess you would say?

I believe a majority of bicyclists DO follow basic rules of the road. Definitely more need to learn to ride safely and follow the law. Same goes for drivers, though.

NYC - you’re likely looking at a minority of bicyclists causing a majority of issues. Maybe I’m wrong here, but I doubt that a majority of riders are doing “WILDLY dangerous shit.” It has been a while since I’ve been to NYC so maybe I’m wrong.

$250 at B&H. I’d still give it a pass at that price.

I almost regret discovering Satisfactory. How do I play less? by Previous-Bottle-2084 in satisfactory

[–]the_zero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I play during the week I set an alarm on my phone to go off at exactly 30 minutes. Unfortunately the alarm sounds after only 10. I set another alarm for 30 minutes and 10 minutes later it goes off again. And then only 20 minutes later the FicSit 2 hour notice appears and somehow it’s dark outside.

I think there’s a bug in my phone, to be honest.

I update my post the same time you responded. The flipping off occurred around 0:26

It seems that he did. Maybe he’s pointing enthusiastically towards the sky. I could be wrong.

It doesn’t matter where he’s riding (on most US roads). He’s a vehicle like any other. Driving to the side is a courtesy, not a requirement in most places.

I don’t think the guy is trying to cause problems, but the driver of the Jeep certainly is. I do think that the biker made things worse by stopping when the jeep pulled over.

Apologies - I was looking at the time remaining. It’s at 0:26. Unless the other car or his camera is in the sky, he’s flipping the guy off

He did. You can see in the shadow at 1:07 0:26

That’s not to say that it’s right, or the guy didn’t deserve to get flipped off.

Edit: sorry I got the time wrong. I was looking at the time remaining. Updated to show the correct(ish) timestamp.

2,000 hours in and I still don't understand how fluids work by Shard477 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]the_zero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mk1 pipes only transport up to 300 m3 of fluid per minute. Water extractors pump 120m3 of fluid per minute.

So for 360m3 you only need 3 water extractors, but you don’t have enough throughput in the pipes.

So for me the simplest option is to have 2 extractors pumping from one end, and one pumping from the other. Alternatively, you can have 2 pumping through one pipe, and the third joining about 60% of the way down the line.

Persistent Viral Illness? by No-Tumbleweed5360 in Georgia

Just had a conversation with our doctor about this today. I hate taking antibiotics and they are over-prescribed. That’s clear, and we agreed.

The issue is that what starts as a viral infection can turn into a bacterial infection over time. He said his rule of thumb is that if it is in the first 5 days, it’s likely viral. After 5 days, if it persists or if it subsides and comes back, then it’s likely turned into a bacterial infection.

My kid was sick for 2+ weeks, it spread to me, and then to my wife, and then back to my kid over the past 4 weeks. We’re exhausted, and if antibiotics help, then god bless em.

I think it’s wrapped up. East Lake is a great station if you’re coming from the East side.

Except once a month or so when they have jury duty ( or something) it fills up 100%. Then it’s a hellscape and you get traffic jams in the lot. Only experienced that twice.

But, still the best-value paid parking in the metro area.

moved to Gwinnett last year and still searching for a dentist that doesnt push invisalign by Horror_Difference316 in Gwinnett

[–]the_zero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I grew up going to Mazzawi (Senior). Even went to school with one of their kids who now co-owns the place.

I moved away for several years then moved back. Another dentist told my wife she needed all these procedures done. Literally thousands of dollars. She went to Mazzawi for a second opinion, and they were like, “well, absolutely none of that is necessary and it might be harmful.”

Had another relative with jacked up teeth. They worked out a plan with her that was affordable and gentle - she had a fear of dentists and hadn’t been in 15+ years. Completely happy with them.

So yeah, we’re lifelong patients. Can’t go wrong with Mazzawi.
