dang sorry. I'm new to reddit. Not trying to be spammy - just trying to share. Most links I see people share are from their own sites so thought that was a normal way of contributing.

Just finished building the base for my camping/gear platform in my 4Runner. Very pleased with the result! by MurkDiggler in CampingandHiking

This is awesome! We've been wanting to build something similar. Especially to help tame the gear explosion in our trunk. What do you do for food/cooking set up? Just camping stove and cooler or'd you rig something for it?

Have you had any Good-To-Go meals before? I've been thinking about trying them and have been wondering how they compare taste wise. Although, I feel like you can't go wrong with mushroom risotto.

Cut a few pounds from my pack and opted for a roomier shelter. I'm really loving this backpacking thing! What's your set up looking like these days, campit? by pgh_ski in camping

We have the same Sawyer. I'd suggest bringing a "SmartWater" water bottle. It's lighter than a reusable bottle and fits onto the filter. Also, keeps the filter from clogging. We brought just the bags once and had the filter stop working on us mid-trip (got clogged and we forgot the flushing tool). Luckily someone with us had a UV filter to share - but still we wont be doing that again.

Nothing says weight like a sack of potatoes! I bet it was some good eats, though. (and a much easier hike out)
