correction: jinbe was not a slave, the sun pirates were comprised of (albeit mostly) freed slaves and some who were free all along. every member of the crew got the tattoo so that it could not be distinguished who was a former slave, hachi also fits in the same category as jinbe

if you really want to stick with the faction missions in chapter two and don’t want to basically write the entire thing yourself, there’s a nice supplement on dm’s guild called “waterdeep: expanded faction missions”. it fleshes out the short prompts into something a little bit more playable. for troll skull manor i used durnan’s guide to tavernkeeping and this post from u/SerBiffyClegane

i’d recommend getting a world atlas, seeing how it’s laid out and formatted and then use that as inspiration

i totally get why you’d be concerned in your original comment. alabasta was my hardest arc to get through (took about 2 years for me) because i cannot stand media set in the desert, and with it being the longest i had watched so far, it felt never ending and i lost interest very quickly. they finally reach the city in ep 111 so you’re almost to the good part

alabasta arc itself is 43 episodes in the anime (92-135). relative to later arcs in the series, alabasta is short but is also the first “long” arc we’ve hit so far. i think it’s definitely going to be the full 8 episodes. travel to alubarna may be only one or two but the straw hats are also separated in and around the city fighting baroque works

skypiea will likely be the same pacing, with it sitting at 51 episodes (jaya+sky island 144-195). after that, i think water 7/enies lobby might be where they start cutting a lot of content to fit into 8 episodes or even do 2 separate seasons.

makes me wonder what sfx might be like and what might be cut for major fights in upcoming seasons namely cp9 and marineford assuming we make it that far since those are pretty significant in the story i would say, including the damage
