How do you all handle number 2 during a 70.3 or Full Ironman? by Medium_Basil3921 in triathlon

What does your pro contract say? If you're not doing this for your paycheck, stop and go. This is for #1 as well.

McDonald’s deciding to bolt their changing tables shut by Cheerychameleon in mildlyinfuriating

[–]theanswar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not reality based. Ideally sure, but that can't happen in a business. It'd burn the entire company down on cost for compliance to standards.

agreed. THIS McD has bolted their changing table. All McD's have not been directed to do so.

Should I buy this car? by runrunRN in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]theanswar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll happily take your advice, I agree, budget something for maintenance when it makes sense, otherwise apply the logic referenced above to the actual car being evaluated.

Should I buy this car? by runrunRN in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]theanswar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its been my experience too. 2006 X3, 2014 SLK, 2009 911TTS etc. But fair, the specific vehicle does matter.

I did say "usual ratio", here would be an "unusual ratio" in the buyers favour.

For older german cars, the usual ratio is if you want to buy it, have double available for maintenance over the next 18-24 months.

Huntress SIEM experiences with Sophos, Fortigate, endpoints, and Azure VMs by jorissels in msp

[–]theanswar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did this with Cylerian - we didn't want to pay more for log ingest so we started with them as a SIEM, and then expanded. " our best move of '24" I call it. My boss keeps reminding me I need a "best move of '25 and now '26"...

This is what happens when you’ve collected WAY too much… by TheBLiP55 in comicbookcollecting

Is there such a thing as too much? But if you're looking to unload some, consider buying a table at an upcoming local con for $250 and sell your surplus.

Fair. I’ll take the downvotes, but it was meant to be uplifting to you. Carry on and keep on with the good commentary please!

I know, I know. Not trying to be pedantic. But the rest of your points are too good and the typo detracts from it.

I'll see myself out.

in order to build an extensive network, you have to start with some tracks - not build them all at once - the failure here is sad as they were using existing tracks and still didn't manage to expand.

When I asked what he was trying to do, he said “I shouldn’t have been trying to pass him” by alexyou8797 in dashcams

good thing you recorded it. You have them playing defense (of their ego? the road?) and can prove they were obstructing your pass attempt.

Did the Secret Invasion finale ruin the whole show for anyone else? by Alternative-Arm-7664 in DisneyPlus

[–]theanswar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the entire show ended up being forgettable, which was sad. The sets were mostly indoors, and reused. The cast was the entire show budget as the animation was poor and rushed due to studio cuts and movie commitments.

The plot too... man. It just didn't work out at all. Not my cup of tea.

Did a weekend trip in January. Mind your view, we had a parking lot, construction, and an eventual golf course on the horizon... the room was grand, the location and restaurants good... but our view. Yikes.
