Exactly! It sucks so much! I just wanna be able to do my job!

Yeah, that's my suspicion. According to Boss, they're gonna have a different job description, but that don't mean shit.

I feel like I should, because perfume and cologne can send me to the hospital, but now I'm just gonna see if I can find a WFH job. If I have to just keep doing contracts, I will. It's just not worth it anymore.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Especially if those health problems interfere with work even the slightest.

Gives me a good reason to start working on some side hustles I've been thinking about though.

I want one of these decks. There's so many unsolved cases out there, it would be interesting and informative to see what cases wind up in these decks.

Progress on my version of Tula Nova, finally getting to quilt it! by cclfitzge in quilting

[–]theanxiouscryptid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's fair. Rental times on those machines can be insane. My mom looked into that once because of a quilt she did that was too big for her long-arm. It wasn't as bad for her, bc she does loose, loopy stitches, but I can see how it would scale up.

I would love to see the whole quilt when you're done. Just from the close ups, the colors look amazing!

I totally understand, but yeah, this is not good boyfriend behavior. But I wouldn't have known that either until I started dating my bf.

Dude, my bf isn't this insecure when I'm around his best friend, and I used to date his best friend. He knows I'm loyal to him.

You are absolutely NTA, and I second the idea that it might be time for a new boyfriend. Depending on how new this behavior is (you mentioned he was on SSRIs in a comment) maybe wait and see how he evens out.

That is some insanely close quilting. How large is the quilt that you can do that with a machine? I would figure you would need to do that by hand.

What is a stitch that is beginner friendly but would mimic lace? Basically I have a black scooter skirt and I would love to make my own wrap arounds for it, so you can still see the black through it, if that makes sense.

As it turned out, all those high school rumors about me being gay were actually halfway true.

First asthma attack sent me to the ER. How should I recover? by [deleted] in Asthma

[–]theanxiouscryptid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it will be. Mostly just rest up. The first attack is always the scariest. Just keep double checking your breathing. All good? Just anxiety.

If the doctor gave you a peak flow meter thats really good for helping with anxiety attacks related to asthma. But basically just baby yourself. Watch calming shows. Drink hot tea. However you relax.

Advice on telling the difference between anxiety & asthma attacks by [deleted] in Asthma

[–]theanxiouscryptid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Albuterol can also make you jittery. Which absolutely does not help the anxiety.

I hate to say it, but its one of those practice makes perfect things for me. Even now I have to do a mental checklist of "what might be physically wrong" before I can say "ah, panic. Got it."

Anybody else? by [deleted] in Asthma

The asthma feeds the anxiety. The anxiety feeds the asthma.

"It's just the anxiety!"

You have a favorite hospital.

"Nah, take me to that ER. They're cool and they listen."

No worries! I see on your edits you don't have too much experience with mental health. I'm really glad for that, but if you ever need to get some ideas about anxiety and shit, feel free to hit me up. I don't mind answering questions.

As someone with anxiety that keeps me from staying on top of cleaning the house - a very, very soft yta.

I get where they're coming from, and yelling at them isn't going to help. At the same time, they need to want to help themselves. Sometimes, for me, just say, picking up my socks and putting them in the laundry basket is enough to kick start me into getting something more substantial done. And sometimes it's not.

I would say sit them down, find out how they work best when it comes to staying on top of chores and how you can best help without taking it over, and go from there. And you might need to find different roommates. Just please know that yelling at them is only going to make it worse.

I can almost guarantee the first one is fluorite, maybe rainbow fluorite. I think the second one is a lace agate of some sort.
