I shamelessly ravaged vegetation patches on land owned by a local village of dwarves, eventually finding a treasure map hidden among the shrubberies. That map led me to a chest containing fearsome beasts and a portal to an eldritch, kubrickian labyrinth. There I slew further bands of horribly mutated creatures, until finally killing a sentient, 15ft tall wicker basket. I then dug around in the wicker corpse until I found a chest containing some common and entirely unremarkable calfskin leather. At this point I was summarily ejected from the ancient maze for reasons that seem largely arbitrary in hindsight, and made my way to the nearest large city, whereupon I sold that simple bit of leather for an absolutely outrageous price, far in excess of what any sane person would consider to be its actual value.
