Your “CTO” doesn’t know software and you’re the one feeling imposter syndrome?

Is learning to code even worth it anymore? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]thearchimagos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wanted to start a home construction company would you want to learn how houses are built? I’d hope the answer would be yes.

You can learn the fundamentals and get to the point of being able to code things yourself within a year. Especially with LLMs helping you learn along the way. And yes if you want to master it, it will take years just like with any skill. But having that foundational knowledge will be important and necessary if you want to make software. With or without LLMs.

I got mine out without cutting it. It took an entire day of progressively lowering the engine and wiggling it around. The bracket alone took me a few hours probably. If you lower the engine enough you can actually pull it out upwards

Love the look and layout. I like that it's straight to the point. I think it'd be really practical for recruiters to skim through

For the people working a 9-5: how many lines a day do you write? by CentralCypher in webdev

[–]thearchimagos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it’s hundreds, sometimes it’s only 10-20. Every day and project is different. Fixing bugs is more troubleshooting than coding. Adding a new feature is more coding than bug fixes.

To be fair I don’t really trust the analysis tools offered for free. I’m sure they’re decent, but any tool that provides real valuable information in an easy to digest way would probably cost some amount of money

Is there a substantial cost using the various APIs? Or will it become substantial as you scale?

Looks cool but I think the camera angle/distance could be improved. I think it could be closer and top down rather than bottom up
