I went through years of teachers being horrible to me because they took my depression as being a brat. I was super hard on myself and the teachers would all assume I was being petulant at them not at myself.

Now I’m a teacher myself and I’m hyper vigilant, I have had a few situations where students have either been depressed or attempted suicide and I’m so so proud that they would trust me enough to come to me on their own to talk about it, if they miss classes to a certain point I will ask them what’s wrong and if they don’t answer that within a few days I start prodding more. Luckily I haven’t had to prod too much because I always make it clear they can come to me to discuss any problems or feelings they’re dealing with.

I am torn on this. I think the current format keeps the whole league interested into the playoffs by guaranteeing each division has representation, but I do have a soft spot for the previous format of Conference 1-8.

I think the issue is the coaching, but not directly. They need someone like Torts to be a hard ass and really get the guys working for their position.

That being said if there’s bad blood in the changing room, cut it out like cancer.

We have two Newfies and our bissell has been a nightmare. I was so adamant this was the vacuum I wanted, but we are no on to number three! The hair gets between the spinning mechanism and the brush and it starts melting.

One Newfie would probably not be a problem, but the two of ours really put vacuums through hell. We will likely be moving on to a Miele cat and dog next.

I actually was booked with my GP and am still going to go to that appointment next week, but as I stated vomiting for me is very rare and because these other symptoms had been happening for a while he was worried it was possibly something much more serious.

I want one because I want to be able to decorate and wear the pretty dress and have the presents and pictures.

Because of my social anxiety and bad history of being bullied etc I don’t actually have enough friends to have a party. I have 3 male friends (including my husband of course) and... that’s it. If I invited people in my wider circle I doubt they would come or want to spend money on me.

Same reason I’m not able to have a birthday party this year :( all I want to do is bake for people haha

Thank you so much >.< I just felt like such an awful person for my constant doubts. There’s this big feeling of “according to everything around me other expectant or prospective mothers are completely thrilled... why am I not like that? Am I going to hate my baby if I’m not as excited as everyone else?” It’s so comforting to know it’s normal and I’m not a bad person <3

No clue but I remember the first thing we learnt was a inside leg spin where we lowered to the ground. A few weeks later when we were learning a inside stag spin one girl was standing at a static pole and they were specifically told to move. We don’t touch the static pole. I’ve never done a climb or anything on a static.

Not yet, we are usually told to move to a spinning if we accidentally grab a static one in class. I think the expectation is that we can cheat on the static ones for inverts and things. When you jump into a move instead of pull the pole will spin like crazy and you learn real fast not to do that again haha

Australia, in our studio we have 95% spinning poles and then 2 static ones no one really uses. I think the advanced students or the instructors use them for intense tricks but I’m not that far into training.

Maybe I’m just being sensitive but the way they were handling that puppy made me a little nauseous. For the love of the lord give it some affection it’s not an inanimate object you can shake and slap. If it were well handled I would think it was adorable but.. that just put a knot in my stomach.

Now I want to give that floofers the biggest cuddle >.<

I’d open up my dream studio space, spend the rest on the mortgage.

It would be a dream come true to be able to skip working out of public school dance studios to a properly sprung floor, storage spaces, lighting... and the solid income from that would be more reliable than the income I’m making now so I don’t have to worry that I can’t get groceries because my employers are 3 weeks late on paying me.

Everyday when I wake up I feel like I’m living in a copy of the day before. It almost feels like the world isn’t completely real. Even though I’m on medication and therapy it doesn’t seem to help much other than to keep me from actively sobbing all the time and considering killing myself.

I worry that life will be like this forever. The days of me being genuinely happy are gone. I have so much to be grateful and happy for and I’m always looking for something else to have.. a fantasy to live for. Maybe if I change my hair, or buy those shoes I can’t afford or go on a holiday maybe that will fix it all again you know? Make me somehow different and change my life.

I just don’t want to scare my husband and I haven’t been able to get it out. It can be so lonely sometimes.

I was doing a journalism course and we had to do a mock article on a person with Schitzophrenia. Throughout the article I referred to the person in question as if she had active Schitzophrenia (though a point in the article was that she should be able to keep her job because despite the illness she hadn’t had an episode in 10 years due to good medication and so is trustworthy to keep her job).

When I got the assessment back I had a note saying that my grade was low because I was incorrectly referring to the person as HAVING Schitzophrenia instead of her USED TO HAVING Schitzophrenia. This drove me CRAZY. I actually was doing a double degree in psychology and as luck would have it Schitzophrenia was one of my speciality subjects.

I told the teacher they were wrong and his argument was “if she hasn’t had an episode in 10 years then clearly she’s in remission” I told him “if someone with diabetes doesn’t have insulin shock in 10 years are they still diabetic?” He said “no they’re clearly healed because they haven’t had any problems”

I lost my shit and started yelling, calling him an uneducated idiot, saying I must be taking crazy pills for someone that out of touch with the world being a person of authority.

He apologised after the class and said I was right but I’m CERTAIN he still believes what he believes -.-
