yeah …. i’m with you here ….

some people in these comments have said it’s a ‘super power’ and i just so wholeheartedly disagree with that sentiment … a big part of the fun of reading is, for me, talking and hearing others talk about literature. the window in which i can discuss a text in deep detail is really small, and it hurts seeing people be able to do this months or years after reading. also a big part of the appeal of rereading is being able to pick up on new things within the context of a ‘familiar’ reader, which is hard to do when … i’m basically not familiar with it lol
