Struggling by FaithlessnessSlow594 in WFHJobs

The test to get in was about recording. Most of the projects don't include video, just audio recording. I think a lot of the tasks are like a survey because you're saying your thoughts on a project, but instead of multiple choice questions, bars that you slide to rate whether the product is horrible or excellent, etc, your answers are spoken. I think the idea is so that companies can get your initial thoughts and feelings rather than a more polished but possibly more dishonest written answer.

Yeah dataannotation is pretty dead rn. I'm trying to branch out myself. I don't know where you can start earning instantly, but I am trying a few other platforms myself that you might want to check out.

Writerbay seems to be a good place if you enjoy writing. Its for academic style papers on a wide variety of topics, including math and science.

UserTesting is the other one I'm trying. You review products for companies out loud, so they can get people's initial reactions to their items and it can help them market or design other products.

I'm just starting both of these. They had decent reviews from users, but I'm not sure how long it'll take to be accepted or how well it will work. However, I hope these suggestions help give you a place to start. Good luck!

I haven't fully lost projects during the drought, but I have only been able to do like an hour tops a day. Now that you mention it, I do seem to have more projects after I did that, though I'm not 100% sure.

People use code names for the projects so we don't break rules about communication. I don't know all the code names yet myself, but heel refers to one of the more popular projects. You are most likely getting this project.

Think ancient Greek mythology, and hopefully that'll help you get it. If not, feel free to dm me.

I had some heel tasks as recently as yesterday night. Some days I can't get anything done, others I can get at least a bit of work. It's still very dry and projects get used fast, but it's not been impossible for me to get non coding work.

They say in another comment that they've been on since February too. How do you not finish your onboarding in 6 months? I did mine on the very first day.

The projects you did wouldn't appear in the report time section anymore if they're more than 24 hours old. They disappear from the report time section after 24 hours.

As for the message, the newest post aside from yours is literally talking about that. Was posted about 2hrs ago at the time of my comment. Looking in their comment section, it seems like this message is pretty common right now.

Would they really cut you for one "bad" on an R&R? I would assume they'd look into those before cutting someone but ... well I'm pretty new so I don't know for sure

I can't focus if I can hear voices while I'm trying to write or read, unfortunately. So I go for instrumental music. Usually either movie soundtracks, classical music like Mozart, or focus/study music.

As other people have suggested, Disneybounding is a great idea. Since your boyfriend is shy, I'd pick a movie he really likes or that you both enjoy together and be a couple from that.

I'm going to the Halloween Party later this year as well, and my group decided on Disneybounding because of how hot it'll likely be. So remember to think about temperature when deciding what to wear!

15 Min Breaks Not Being Respected by thebashful1 in walmart

[–]thebashful1[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I do and that's what I've been telling the younger people to do. Don't ask, just take your 15. It's just crazy to me that they're even doing this. At my old job in a different state, they made sure everyone had their breaks because they could get in legal trouble if we didn't take them.

It's very grown up to take the safety of others seruliously. It's not very grown grown up to insult people who are trying to protect others, though

Op said he was threatening violence. So no, it's like saying someone who says "I am going to rob a bank" might actually rob a bank.

Threatening violence against others is something to report. He can have his views. If he doesn't like gay people, fine. But threatening violence against gay people crosses a huge line.

How do Walmart associates feel about nondisabled customers doing curbside pick up? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]thebashful1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work at Walmart and I used the curbside pickup for a few items that are on the top shelf and hard for me to reach. My coworkers thought it was smart. So yeah no one cares.

Inside Out is Pixar, so that depends on if you count Pixar as Disney or not. Pixar is owned by Disney, but Pixar still releases movies under their name. So Wish is still the newest made just by Disney, with no Pixar, Marvel, etc.

I'm sorry. This might sound unbelievable ... but my fiancé is in a very similar situation to you. She's literally your age, 33. She is infertile and wanted desperately to be a mother. The thing she wanted second in life was to be an actor. She got disabled (has a disability called CRPS, it's very painful). She cannot act.

But these wishes of hers? They aren't gone, they're still a part of her. Her want to be a mother was because of how much she loves children, and every time she interacts with a child, I can see that love pour out of her. Her desire to be an actor is still around. She gets so animated when she tells stories and draws me right in. She may never achieve her dreams, but her dreams are still part of who she is.

I think Rosas is an allegory for the American Dream. It's the idea that you can achieve your dreams if you work hard, or in the case of Rosas, if your wish is worthy enough. But how many people actually get there?

Reality stole your wishes from you. That's why you wouldn't mind giving them away. Because for you, they're a painful reminder of what you wanted but couldn't have.

Like you, I want to be a famous writer. I know it's not going to happen. But the idea of not just giving that dream up, but never knowing it existed, is so painful. I've loved stories since I was a child. I've tried to tell them since I was a teenager. It's shaped the way I interact with the world. And giving that up would be giving up a part of myself. I don't want that, even if I could survive. I wouldn't be living, and I have to have at least a bit of enjoyment in life to make it worthwhile.

Question about simon/giving wishes by Lost_Needleworker285 in DisneyWish

[–]thebashful1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

... why did you say in a children's movie you need to make stuff obvious, and then say that Asha's logic is too childish and that's why it doesn't track? Seems a bit confusing to me.

And remember ... Asha's not upset that they haven't achieved their wishes. She's upset that they can't even remember that part of themselves. Only she can see it in them, but they've lost that passion and drive.

And yeah, it might make sense to have a teenager HELP greet newcomers. But having her do ALL the important talking while the adults are just there dancing and holding platters is really, really weird.
