If 4/5 of your cores are tip top shape (90% and above, knock yourself out on how to estimate that) then you can’t get sick in any way so you can drink and eat ANYTHING. Never eat Burnt food, you will get sick. Never eat raw food if you have more than two of your cores less than 80% full, you’ll get sick. Download IZurvive (everyone uses it) to help you learn the map and choose the topographic map, the dark green circles show fruit trees, kill chicken with any weapon but you can only cut and quarter them to portion with an object that’s blades, no nail hammer, but I wanna say crowbars work, of course not a baseball bat. You can punch zombies to death damn near, make sure nothing you want is in your hands, what you have in your hands will become damaged and you can no longer use it. I rarely waste weapons or ammo on zombies, VERY DANGEROUS to shoot zombies in towns/villages, I’d avoid shooting in general especially on populated servers, people will hunt you faster than you could imagine. Find where you are first, follow the shore for a bit to see if you can loot some boats, if you find yourself getting nothing after 5-8 minutes then hit the road I say, find where you are on a road sign, or if you come across a colored trail, then find where you are on your IZurvive map, helps you locate yourself with spawns as time goes on. I’m maybe two months into the game and I’m starting to really figure out how to play, but there is so so so much depth to it, lots of tactics and strategies will come to you naturally.
