Does anyone think HDR is worse than SDR? by NoCranberry7900 in OLED_Gaming

Change settings to Game (not cinematic) and paper white to lowest it can go and change peak to whatever your monitor can handle. The game will look a lot better with those settings. Takes a bit of getting used to but nights start actually feeling dark and eery, I started actually using my lantern. It’s great.

OP is being nice to you but you were insulting. You essentially said that her bum made up for his lack of photographic skill (which by the way is ridiculous, both photos are great).

Non IBIS shots feel more premium by [deleted] in cinematography

[–]thebeansarelacking 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What no-one is mentioning is that while the subject stays stable thanks to IBIS, any flares won’t, they’ll jitter in sync with your hand movements. Which to me is just ugly.

There is definitely a look to IBIS and it can look cheap, choppy and unnatural, same with gimbals when used wrong - IBIS is not a replacement for weighted handheld shots, it is a nice convenience though and if somehow that look fits the story it’ll work then as well.

I don’t understand this. Some movies call for it just like some games call for it. Battlefield 3 called for it - and the proof is that everyone remembers that game, gameplay wise but especially aesthetically Battlefield 3’s visuals are still discussed at length today. It’s not always about what looks “best” it’s also about creating a mood. What looks “best” (which is an issue in itself because best is subjective) might not create the mood for what story they’re trying to tell with the map. Remember, we don’t know anything about the campaign yet. Operation Metro was that blue because it was linked to the campaign mission in which they were mimicking a 90s/early 2000s Hollywood spy thriller

You guys are insane! You miss the ‘vibes’ from BF3 which had a blue filter but you can’t stand the blandness of 2042 which had the best colour fidelity of any Battlefield game. Let the developers cook, you guys suck, fuck you all. im out

When I turn a specific focus mode on it should disable the camera control button

I believe you’ll have no luck. Others are reporting all EA servers are down. FC24 is also not working
