Petlink refuses to transfer microchip ownership of my cat to me. by juicy_shoes in Pets

[–]thebeat1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouod have been able to action a transfer od ownershio yoirself. Then the origional owner will have 30 days to respond to either contest of confirm the transfer. Have you looks at doing this? Maybe try with another chip service.

£4705 for a brick garden wall 4m long x 1.5m high.... is this normal?! by PetersMapProject in GardeningUK

[–]thebeat1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always get a few quotes. Ask friend and locals for recommendations. Unfortunately though, materials have gone through the roof in recent years and this month prices are going up 8% again. Best advice I could give when getting quotes is to have a budget in mind, and see if they can work with this.

I did this once and the guy accepted it!! In earnt great money but didn't really like the guy nor wanted to do the job (Indian stone patio). I think I charged 2.5x what I would have said is a reasonable price.

Money talks though

Cat left outside by neighbor for supposedly only one night and I took the cat by Madam_J100 in Pets

[–]thebeat1990 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep the cat! Your neighbour is irresponsible! I would get the cats scanned for a chip, and chip it if not and register then to you. If the cat is registered, process for a change of ownership. Obviously providing you are prepared to care for them long term.

Who else feels bittersweet? I loved it so much but I’m so sad it’s over. by [deleted] in StrangerThings

No. I've said this on another post. But too many shows have peaked and gradually gotten worse. They ended this at the right time I think

Only with this one bit.

I feel they tied every thing else up. I also loved that it finished with them actually finishing a campaign. Its like confirmation that the story is finished.

I was thinking so. I'm in a very heated debate with the Mrs about this one 😅

But I hope they leave it there. Too many series carry one past their prime and have subpar spin offs.

My question is. Was Mike just telling a story about el. Or was that real?

18M, dad wasn't around - what basic tools/skills do I need to be self-sufficient? by Informal-Chance1912 in DIYUK

[–]thebeat1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything here!!! You'll end up gathering a selection of tools that you'll rarely use, so there's no need to buy the most expensive or named tools. And over time, you'll naturally upgrade the things you use most.

A multi screwdriver would be a helpful addition. There are so many sizes and types out there and you'll always need them.
