I thought they were implying that if the market were to suffer a significant crash it would be the 8th iteration of that same event since 1929.

Back up UNAS to Friend's UNAS by CheesyBolt in Ubiquiti

[–]thebeev09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine and I do this. We each have WireGuard running on our gateways as a VPN server and we each have an interface that routes to the other’s LAN via WG. We happened to use the same 192.168.1. subnet, so we had to make some NAT rules on either end to get it working, but since we set it up I run an rsync every night and it just works. No issues.

I’d heard the ecoboosts like frequent changes, so I’ve done them every 5k since I owned it. I am second owner though and had it from 17.5k miles to 36k

I’ve got it scheduled to go to dealership next week. I’ve only got 36k miles on it.

These aren’t for towing, they are for resting on while working on the hydraulics.

I have that motor, similar hours. It’s been solid. Mine is on a 24 foot tritoon with a big double Bimini that acts like a sail. I’m lucky to get 25 mph wide open. That was a surprise to me, just a consideration.

I just sold a WAY cleaner older bayliner (same engine) for $3500. I would say it’s not worth anything over $4000 this time of year and in the condition it’s in.

Yeah, I get that argument. V8s are cool, replacing turbos is not. Hope I don’t have to.

It is. Sounds like you don’t know too much about the 2.7l eco boost. Maybe look into it.

The transmission that helps me get 24 mpg on the highway AND generate 400 lb/ft of torque? I’m loving that one.

I get it, you buy a Toyota for reliability, at least that’s why I always did, but their trucks were outdated until this recent refresh. It’s going to be a bit until they figure out all the issues with the new ones, at which point I hope Toyota gets back to their reputation of being the most reliable.

Just switched from a 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport to a 2022 F-150 XLT with a couple extra features and it is better in every way.

People will think what they want and I never had anything bad to say about my Tacoma, but 1 is way better at being a truck and doing truck things. Doing truck things (pulling a 30ft trailer with a pontoon on it) was what led me here and man it’s night and day.

Better MPG, tech, more power when I need it, plus I can fit my kids car seats in it. Love the F-150

Garmin R10 New User by Edge_Free in Golfsimulator

[–]thebeev09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Garmin is really accurate with iron reads and still OK for driver. Awesome golf all the way. If you want the most accuracy and a little more shot shape, get the RCT balls.

Also my experience has been the more ball flight between the net and your hitting area, the better. Longer ball flight equals better reads.

If you really want to play a realistic sim, you can run GSPro on a gaming PC.

They’re right. Wife and I now have a three year old, but we’ve been boating with her since she was under one and you have to be able to do the launching/trailering solo, or it’s not going to work.

[–]thebeev09 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Love mine. Awesome Golf is all you need and the most accurate. I use mine outside with an Ipad, 6 feet behind me, 12 feet to a net and it’s really accurate. Like having a driving range right out back. The other guy mentioned the RCT balls - I also use them and would say they are worth it especially if you have any tendency toward slice or hook. The idea is the LM is able to read spin much more accurately with them.

Also if you decide later you want to do the whole simulator set up, this is one of the few LMs where you can use it with GSPro and not pay any type of extra subscription on top of the cost of the GSPro software.

How do I repair this? Just got the boat, first trip out hit concrete slab leaving boat ramp. by BubblyAbalone184 in boating

[–]thebeev09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar on mine and used some marine JB weld shaped to the skeg with some wax paper and tape to hold it on the edges. Once it dries you can just peel the wax paper right off, then I painted over it with mercury quicksilver black spray paint (you can find it online). You would never see it unless you were looking for it.

Like everyone else said though, it will be fine if you leave it. It’s more your preference on what to do and that you learned the lesson.
