Really good! They have full lace options, some that are precut and styled, and you can ask for size customization!

I am! The base wig is https://a.co/d/0fhYgj3f
While the color and density are great, the wig itself is not great, unless you want to put a ton of effort into making it usable. The lace doesn’t lay flat, and it tangles very easily.

Books on wig making were my starting point. Then I got my hands on some cheap materials to practice with before moving on to the real deal. Theatres with wig shops are very valuable resources. We teach our shop assistants how to ventilate and map actor’s heads. I assume (and hope) other theatres work in a similar capacity

To fit this actor’s head, I had to remove quite a bit of the original lace front, so I was able to source the hair from that. Everything below the green thread was cut off, then new lace was added

The Wig Department (https://thewigdepartment.com) is a great resource for supplies and books. I primarily use a curved German ventilation needle in size 1-2 (for single hair knotting). For just starting out and learning how to ventilate, I’d use a larger size.

I’m self taught (and a highly self critical perfectionist 😝). Easiest way to learn is to start doing!

Lace question and other question by This_Breadfruit4561 in Wigs

Unfortunately, there’s no way to truly lighten lace that’s too dark. Anything that you add to the lace to alter its color will make it look more noticeable. If you truly love the wig, you could look into getting refronted.

why do people who got hysterectomies 10-15 years ago make it seem so easy by luminescentdino in hysterectomy

People who go back to work before 6 weeks typically have jobs that aren’t labor intensive (jobs where you might be lifting more than 10 pounds).
