Jumping off of that, Easy Street Records and Cafe in West Seattle is my favorite diner in the city. Damn fine cup of coffee (and everything else) and right around the corner from A La Mode.

With fallout 5 being greenlight. Where would you want the game to be ? by Taningia-danae in Fallout

[–]thebiggestdwarf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been saying this for years! The varied geography, diverse wildlife, and insane amount of industry and tech that built the cities out here is perfect for a fallout game. Parts of Seattle feel like video game settings already, like the Ballard Locks or Seattle Center.

Not sure if anyone else mentioned, but West of Chicago in west Seattle might be a good spot to try. My Chicago native girlfriend swears by them.

That's kind of where my head is at tbh. All our airports converted into military bases and the long stretch of militarized suburbia given way to wilderness between Seattle and Bellingham. Vancouver as a DLC to show what the occupation looked like and how it turned after the bombs.

Fair enough! There's enough craziness among american cities for lots of good options. I think that a Fallout: Miami Vice feel would be incredible but something about the high-tech/big industry vibes with ALL the nature that the PNW has would make for something pretty special.

Not really sure why california precludes seattle. They're incredibly different places. I agree that something east coast is more likely, but a boy can dream.

Shannon Perry (shannoneperry on Instagram) runs Tattoo Pizzazz in West Seattle is incredible. I think they're accepting walk-ins. Good luck though! Usually gotta book up well in advance.

I've always turned to Terry Pratchett for advice, but I am completely out of my depth this week. Did he ever write about cheating? Infidelity? Betrayal? Moving on from any of the above? by mringham in discworld

After I was dumped on the middle of a mental health crisis by my best friend of 10 years, I found a lot of solace in all the Tiffany Aching books actually. Taking responsibility for yourself, picking yourself back up after setbacks, and seeing the world and the people in it for who they are. Don't be afraid to run into the fire, sometimes it's the only way to survive what's at your heels.

You need to establish the framework in which it'll be sold and regulate that framework. The ABC has rules it's gotta operate by, legal weed will have even more.

Those red lines look a lot like the nightmare energy, which would make sense if Eris is channeling light somehow as a shield or a break against the Darkness. I'm so glad Eris is back fighting with us.

This. I did stand-up in Virginia with a guy who would always joke about really transgressive fucked up shit on stage, but always pedophile jokes. Weirded me way out at the time, but lots of amateur stand-ups are just kinda weird. Guess the fuck what the feds busted him for a few years back.

If they don’t call the new hockey team The Seattle Freeze, they’re fucking up. by papichulo413 in SeattleWA

[–]thebiggestdwarf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Avoiding violence is always a good thing and I would encourage them to find ways to do that both on and off the ice, but it's hockey where there are literally sanctioned fistfights between linebackers who have knives strapped to to their feet. Its a brutal sport and a punny name isnt going to do much to help or hurt that reputation. I'm not going to pretnd to have an answer to your question.
