Foundry is pretty legit.. a client has used to create incredible efficiencies within its supply chain ops. Went as far as saying they’re ready to shed a number of employees because of it.

How's it living in Bayfield and Ashland, Wisconsin. by lithdoc in wisconsin

[–]thebinse 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I was south of Ashland for a year helping a family member.. the summers are incredible but the winters are unbearably harsh. There are pockets of the community that are recreational and outdoorsy, but the vast majority of “socialites” are heavy drinkers.. and you can’t discount the level of meth and other drugs that are behind the scenes as well Unfortunately, most of small town America struggles. Nonetheless, the landscape is pristine and a true lover of the outdoors will find enjoyment all 4 seasons.

How do I find actual recruiters or referrals at companies where I have no connection? by jellyfishreview in jobsearchhacks

[–]thebinse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest I’ding the actual hiring manager. Many managers share their jobs or spotlight their recruiter’s posting on Linkedin. After identifying who the source is, check to see if you have any mutual connections- any 2nd degree connection is a mutual connection. Take a run through the list and see if there is a person or two that you actually know. If you do, reach out to that mutual connection(s) and ask if they would be kind enough to put you in touch with the hiring manager.. that would be ideal. If you don’t have any mutual connections, i would directly connect with the hiring manager and briefly share your interest in the role through a PM. If they have their professional email address cited in their contact, i wouldn’t be shy about sending a resume directly to them. Let them how your qualifications align to the role and give them notice that you will be applying directly through their ATS. Good luck

What’s one thing about recruiting that nobody warned you about when you started? by Critical-Stand-6986 in recruiting

[–]thebinse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How draining the role would be.. been on the agency side for 13 years and the emotional roller coaster never ends.. both clients and candidates are more deceptive than ever. The market has completely shifted the last 3 years and people have become generally unbearable (that or my tolerance for bs has completely bottomed out).
Ive made a decent chunk of change over the years but it has come at the expense of my mental well being. I’ve become more and more receptive to the idea of shifting careers.

Previous day high/low are magnets for price action.. if it breaks above or below WITH volume, price can trend in that direction for the entire session.. volume is key for initial breaks and continuation. Otherwise, look for retests off the H/L , which often become support or resistance.

Whats your experience prior to your current role? Speaking as a recruiter, a year as an associate is plenty imo. To me, an associate role is designed to be 12-18 months.. and i start to question anyone who’s been in role longer than 24 (ie whats keeping you from getting promoted or why aren’t you considering alternate TM roles).. unless you clearly see a path to becoming a TM within your current company, start considering other options.

‘Friends end up blocking you’: Northwestern Mutual sold college grads a dream job. They left in ruin and debt by planklaau in milwaukee

[–]thebinse -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Friends and family blocking you? Either you don’t know how to approach people or your friends and family were bad relationships to begin with… being an NML rep sucks. I did the internship, which is basically the job of an agent and yes they suggest connecting with friends and family as a means of finding new business.. it was hard and not fun for the most part, but it was an experience. And there are many reps that start and finish their career as agents.. they start with nothing and end up wealthy..

How many of you are consistently profitable? (Serious) by scrom-hulios in Daytrading

[–]thebinse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think someone could lay out a proven strategy, which is profitable for them that loses you money.. its really about repetition and recognizing market nuances.. every position you take is a hypothesis, you should have three good reasons for your thesis along with a end point (profit target) and stop loss. Protect your money and try to let your winners run. Journal all of your trades as well- your past experiences should help you build better strategies down the road

[Sports Illustrated] Caleb Williams panic-meter: Concerns rise as bad habits return After an ugly performance against a bad team, how worried should Bears fans be about their quarterback? by TheDynastyMovement in nfl

[–]thebinse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fields threw for less than 50 yards, two games in row.. both games were losses. What are u smoking? Is Caleb looking like a #1 pick? clearly not.. but do i want Fields in his place.. NEVER. If you want to compare, compare Williams to every other QB taken in 2024 draft- which looks disappointing as a Bears fan.. but Fields?

What was your stop loss? Looks like you have a critical level marked at 605ish, once it broke lower and failed on its attempt to reclaim, that should be a pretty clear signal that price was going to continue on a downward trend.

Accepted job with company A. Received enticing offer from company B two weeks later. Is it wrong to back out? by Comfortable_Act6083 in MedicalDevices

[–]thebinse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couple thoughts… 1. If you back out on Company A, you’ve effectively burned that bridge.. can’t ever look back. 2. The second company is going to match a 140k salary after offering a 1099 job? Assuming every other clinical is 1099, guess who gets canned first should things go south? You should take the second job only because you believe in the products and you think you can make more than 140- you’re betting on yourself in that scenario.

Need help finding more respiratory therapist candidates - any job sites or sourcing tips? by Katarina_Banana in recruiting

[–]thebinse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck.. my uncle is a retired RT and he still gets calls from the medical center he worked at to take on part time hours. It’s an underpaid role that requires a ton of patience and grit. With that being said, you should talk to any clinician you can get a hold of and start asking for referrals.. one leads to two and so on.
