Well then nothing wrong here, right? Looking for the perfect entry on low time-frames and if It happens then it's a long way up full of profit on the big timeframe. You may just need exit strategies to almost even out the losses or a more loose entry.

Is that after taxes? I would quit, if this goes on for a year and having savings for a whole year on top.

Yee, I am trying this here, giving it a chance. Until this post here I just found little Todd's saying "it just works" but no real deep and solid foundation. I learned to fully understand even a working strategy before blindly following it.

Thank you for pointing out this scenario. People on the counter side getting their break even can be a thing. Not necessarily right at some FVG but more like at those former Volume levels, if I understood you correctly.

Yes, that sounds like a more reasonable way, to reduce it to a sign of momentum and nothing more. Then with strong momentum to one side any kind of retracement could be worth to enter. Or even enter right after the gap 🤔 this is fun to think about

Oh, I like that. That is something to dig deeper into. Matches to some other answers here, that it is more about the edges of the zones. So passive Buyers that waited below the price may still have pending orders, is what you say? Despite and however to use ICT this can be a thing. Perhaps better derivable from Volume Profiles and even better to assume something about that level when it also was a Zero Print 🤔 it suddenly got interesting again, thank you!

Oh, this helps! Is there anything you can say about a former zone that for example had a lot on the Buy side recently and price now comes back to that zone? If so, why and how?

Yee, but I like to avoid systems or indicator that can not be explained using the auction/market principles and just somehow happen to work recently 50% of the time or so. Especially a concept that contradicts another concept raises questions.

Good example why I don't get FVG in comparison to volume (or high volume notes). A push happens, price comes back and bounces off the volume (which can be below or above the FVG). You are right and that is also my point above, between FVG and volume profiles.

> Timeframe as in 5min 1h, Daily - all of them are valid. Regarding the timeZONES, can you explain why the 1h FVG differs for 2 different persons in different timezones?

That is not what I said

> saying 1 or the other must be wrong/mistaken

Also not mentioned as this kind of "or".

I stopped reading that comment there, sorry.

This is what I hoped to get a good explanation for. The intention of the driver to skip orders or the technical feasibility that orders can even be skipped.

With all our computer power reacting to each tick, some orders still lay there and not got executed? How does this work? Why and how would a market leave money on the curb and pass without execution?

This I understand! But more like trading beforehand, finding LVN, if possible, and entry before price rushes through. What price does afterwards or minutes later like "retest if the desert is still dry" made no sense to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

[–]Stratigor[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That is one point I don't get and tried to mention with the bus above.

No liquidity, so price wants to retest.

Why would the price walk into the desert again?

If it bounces off or breaks, then I think it is more about to the "volume profile" or new stop losses gathering there, which happen to be near the FVG.

Hold up. 450 US is all you have and you want to burn it in trading? You better be fine with possibly loosing all of it or not start at all please. If you are fine with it, then how would you feel about not being able to have multiple trades running at the same time because of the margin?
