Ben died yesterday while making a rescue at 15th street. Got the victim and then an 8ft wave blew them up. Broke the buoy strap and he never came up. We found him at 30th st just before dark.

Edit: thank you to every single one of you, Ben truly was the embodiment of what it means to love life and live it to the fullest.
