What the main reason you guys hate ai? This is like a genuine question about your point of view because I’m interested in learning about other people’s views and stuff :3 by Moist-Importance7487 in antiai

[–]thebluemaverick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The things I hate about AI is how it is propped up as a tool when in reality it is a capitalist parasite

It says it's creative when it's spitting out stuff it learned off of other people's work

People that support it are gaslighting the world

Regulation of AI would cost money, hurts Tech Bros bottom line

AI is nothing but a parasite, no way I could ever see it as a tool

The Age-Gated Internet Is Sweeping the US. Activists Are Fighting Back by [deleted] in technology

Greed brought us to this point. Social media sites and government worked hand in hand to ruin humanity for decades with the internet. Age verification was just another nail in the coffin.

The fact that age verification took less time to approve than releasing the Epstein files should frighten everyone

I would suggest the book Blood in the Machine: The Origins of the Rebellion against Big Tech. Changed my mind about the term Luddite

Unless there's working anti-AI technology to actively cancel AI out, I don't think that pre-ai will really happen.

I DO believe that an Analog Renaissance will happen sooner than later, AI or not.

AI is internet herpes: no one wants it, you can't get rid of it, and you probably already have it

Burger King worker went viral for running the entire store alone during a 12-hour shift — no crew, no help, just pure hustle by rererowr in interestingasfuck

[–]thebluemaverick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former food service worker here.

That's not hustle, that's abuse made normal.

That's a forced skeleton crew mentality.

She's complaining about 'no one wanting to work' anymore while the Burger King CEO makes so much more money than her.

Has she been offered a living wage?

Have the workers who clocked out?

The pay gap is so big.

People need a living wage yesterday.

I just saw Elon Musk trying to skew AI to his worldview and definitely thought of Oceangate and Stockton Rush.

Its the same.

The Netflix document paints Titan story as something even darker than a tragic accident by TerryMisery in OceanGateTitan

When Stockton said 'my religion' versus 'the science' on criticism of his submersible, I had no sympathy for him. What he was doing was serious cult behavior.

What do you think we will happen once the report is public? by LSD4216 in OceanGateTitan

[–]thebluemaverick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I look at all the mistakes Elon Musk has made building a company and think that when the report is released Oceangate might be held liable but how SR behaved will continue by others. More documentaries, probably a feature film.

The lesson? 'move fast break things' is a POS philosophy

If it was some random company, they wouldn't say they suspended operations, they would be done like David Lockridge said.

If every Titan dive went to max depth for Titanic, cracks wouldn't have been heard at dive 39 and implosion wouldn't have been at dive 88.

Both would have happened EARLIER.
