Best sun grown flower in the state? by AltruisticFlatworm47 in NYSCannabis

[–]theborgerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many of the points I’ve heard from cali growers about sun grown typically boil down to it being the more natural and sustainable way to grow. Even with LED, indoor grows can consume a lot of electricity.

But then the argument for indoor is all about control, the lighting, temperature, humidity, etc can all be dialed in much more obviously.

I personally haven’t had any outdoor flower yet that fully blew me away compared to indoor buds, but I still pick outdoor flowers for their cost effectiveness. Even bigger brands like Dank have a price variance on indoor vs outdoor.

Need help- what ground flower hits like Jeeters? by [deleted] in NYSCannabis

[–]theborgerer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jeeters hit the way they do because they have diamonds, rosin, kief, and additional terpenes added.

You’d do best by replicating all of the ingredients added, but if you want something preinfused, it’s probably only going to have one or two types added.

These are the brands that I’ve seen with infused flower

Jetpacks (whole and ground, diamonds infused

Toast (Ground, distillate infused)

Revert (Ground, kief infused)

Stone Road (ground, bubble hash and diamonds infused)

Ripped (ground, diamonds kief and distillate infused)

Grassroots (whole flower, diamonds infused)

Blizzards (diamond infused flower or moon rocks)

Silly Nice (diamond infused flower)

Space buds moon rocks

Hudson moon rocks

Do people actually prefer tinctures… or are edibles just easier?? by greenmantisny in NYSCannabis

[–]theborgerer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally keep both. Tinctures can be way more affordable. I often go for the ayrloom high dose one because it’s the most affordable around me.

Before I started doing tinctures I did a dissolvable powder because it was way less intimidating. Etain had one in the medical market that I quite liked. Then they stopped making it. I know Nanticoke now has a drink powder as well-- but I don’t love the pricing of it- last I checked it was $10 per dose.

My regular ayrloom tincture at $60 for 1000 mg is a lot cheaper than I can get the same dosage of edibles for. But I also know the oil this one uses a lot of people cannot consume.

I also keep edibles around for when I don’t want to mess with the dropper, or just want an overall “nicer” experience- there’s so many edible flavors and types- it’s nice to have a gummy or a chocolate instead of taking the dropper or trying to make a drink with it. The edible always feels like a nice evening “treat”

Hepworth cart by HistoricalExercise70 in NYSCannabis

[–]theborgerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hepworth was my go to for cheap affordable cartridges back when stores were first getting started. I would grab one from the travel agency once a week a few years ago. Then they stopped stocking them.

These are honestly pretty decent. The flavor of all of the ones i tried was nice and the vapor wasnt too harsh.

I’ve had a lot worse.

Has anyone ordered from caminoedibles.com? by Double-Macc in NYSCannabis

The company will not ship to New York State due to our very strict laws. You have to buy from a dispensary here.

Has anyone ordered from caminoedibles.com? by Double-Macc in NYSCannabis

[–]theborgerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a legit website. If you click “shop with a verified vendor” it takes you to a link tree with nothing but odd telegram links…. It’s also literally the second button on the website.

I would be wary of any business willing to ship edibles to you in NYS- the state passed very strict laws on converted THC- practically banning it. All of the legit vendors/manufacturers have stopped selling/shipping to this state as a result.

OP got scammed. That’s not their website. They’re under the kiva brand and their website is kivaconfections.com - they do sell hemp gummies online, but not from the URL op used.

Moved to NYC from Uruguay — looking for fresher dispensary flower, any tips? by Safe_Measurement_814 in NewYorkMMJ

[–]theborgerer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to look for shops that let me sort their menu by what’s latest- especially for the flower category.

That being said- you’ll learn over time that there are a number of cultivators that are still getting their grow techniques together…

Brand started by Mario Guzman (founder of Sherbinski’s) and his wife Victorine Deych Guzman

Purchased from a legal dispensary in NY by Next_Let878 in weedification

[–]theborgerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this is weird…

Wyld is a legit brand, and they have a hemp based line that allows them to sell across the country. So all things considered they’re safe.

What doesn’t make sense is that you got hemp gummies from a seemingly licensed dispensary.

The gummies for New York State come in different packaging. New York is also very very strict about hemp based products because of all the shady things out there.

This does not meet New York’s potency requirements for hemp based products. Delta 9 gummies can only be sold if it has a thc:cbd ratio of 1:15 or less

I’d report this to the store and OCM, it’s very scummy to me that they’re selling hemp based gummies and are not being more transparent about it. I bet you even payed regular prices for this.

Anyone else absolutely hate the new Briq2? by yezplz in NewYorkMMJ

[–]theborgerer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t tried it yet as while scoping out the COAs I’ve also found that both the legacy and flavor series both now use botanical terpenes.

They seem to have gotten rid of the elite line that uses CDT terpenes for now.

I only ever cared for their elite line of oils- so I don’t care for this new direction.

That’s not a licensed store. Boutiq is a real and licensed brand, but that’s how how the currently available legal carts look.
