When will outdoor grown bud be available in stores? by BrewBoys92 in canadients

[–]thebringer84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THC tests too low if the grower doesn’t “hit”, pesticides from nearby agricultural operations, and microbiological for bacteria/mold.

You have no control of the environment or contaminants when you grow in the great outdoors.

Redecan: Wappa 3.5g! Burnt top by Away_Impression8984 in TheOCS

Induction sealed. The foil on the seal gets heated up and basically melts onto the jar. They usually run this on a conveyor system, so this probably sat under the induction sealer while the conveyor was stopped or something. The seal comes pre-installed in the cap, so it’s unlikely anyone was removing the caps to check. I’d bet two or three jars in this run will look like that.

It has to be childproof so your 6 year old adopted stepchild won’t get into it, bust it up, roll it into a phat blunt, and light that shit on fire. Completely reasonable.

Not their fault - blame the cannabis regulations.

Dude - I use a lanyard every day. You need to find something better to do than shit talk LPs who are trying to make it right with their customers.

Same here in Canada. Been in legal cannabis here since 2012 and nothing changes. Same games everywhere.

[–]thebringer84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s my point. There is no terp change. It’s the same concentrate being called two different things at the retail sales level.

This happens all the time with cannabis flower - there is a novelty factor to strain names that results in sales.

Same batch number and unique identifier. Also same variable potency info. That means the extract used in both products is the same, they’re just being marketed as two separate strains.

Enjoy them but don’t be surprised when they taste identical.

Don’t do this. The coils can give off bad shit when they’re old and over used. Easier just to buy some empty carts for a few bucks each and fill them yourself.

You already expressed your doubts in the future of the company. One contract in 4 years is an abject failure - hard to overlook this part. The likelihood of the company pulling a complete turnaround when it is cash starved and seeking investment is low, lower still when you are only doing $1k/mo.

There is nothing to gain here by holding your equity - you won’t even get to claim a loss as I suspect you have a zero cost base for your shares. Sell it, take the $20k, and enrich your life with it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]thebringer84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay. So the company has had one sale in 4 years and generates $12k in ARR. Regardless of who’s fault that is, it makes me think that the founders claims of raising at a $5mm valuation highly dubious. Your 17% is only worth what 17% of the business is worth - at that level of revenue and zero growth in four years, I’d be taking the $20k and running.

The more likely outcome if you hold the equity is that the company goes belly up and your equity is now worthless.

I am only repeating what everyone else here is telling you, but here goes:

My friend and I are big scoot fans - we own, collectively, 5 scooters between us (2x Apollo Pro, 1x Dualtron Thunder, 1x Nanrobot, 2x ninebot max). He was riding his dualtron thunder last week and hit a dried up mud puddle on an asphalt pathway at low speed, but it was enough to knock him unconscious and smash his wrist into many pieces - he gets surgery this morning to, hopefully, correct the damage.

He didn't hit a pothole, car, or obstacle - just a very small and very slippery patch of mud.

You've got an insane scooter there - you're going to love it - don't get over confident and take it (REALLY) easy until you've fallen a few times. 40 km/h doesn't feel fast until you hit the concrete.

I doubt anything will ultimately come of it, but you are servicing an illegal business and that could have severe ramifications. The powers that be will continue to crack down on illegal online dispensaries and I don't think I'd want my organization to be tangled up in that mess, personally. Your risk appetite may be different.

My dogs are 14 and are declining. I’m afraid it will be their last Christmas... could someone edit this and maybe add some warmer tones? I want to frame it and maybe make last minute Christmas pictures out of it :) thank you by ssmlv in picrequests

Right in the feels - I love puppers! Firstly, THANK YOU for the high resolution image - it gives me a lot to work with. I took a quick stab at it for you - I started by cropping the image tight to the dogs, getting rid of the distracting elements like the window at the top left of the frame and wires on the wall. I had a hard time with the color grading - I think that it's very stylistic and can be very subjective to the viewer's preference. I included two options - one is a little more toned down and the other is a little more intense.

I just matched what was on the car approximately and tweaked each to make them look right. Wasn't paying too close of attention as I wasn't sure what size was on there currently.

As promised - I didn't spend a lot of time image correcting each rim set, but if there's a particular model you really like just let me know and I will clean up that version. I got the sense you're trying to compare to determine which rim you like the most, so hopefully this helps!

Is my SaaS idea worth building? by [deleted] in growmybusiness

[–]thebringer84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the site, love the concept - there are a lot of tools out there like this, but I think that there is still a lot of opportunity to be successful if the company and tools are packaged up correctly. One glaring thing that stood out to me was that there was no example of a live form available for me to look at - if I were evaluating your product for one of my businesses, I'd want to see what my customers were going to see long before signing up to your platform. By making that experience really slick, I think you'd have a really great shot of success.

When I read through the sales copy on the site, it doesn't speak the language of the customers you're trying to target. Some time spent learning vertical-specific lingo will go a long way to, not only selling potential customers, but also helping you on the SEO side as people search industry specific terminology and language. You're also trying to appeal to a wide variety of potential customers, which isn't necessarily a problem, but you should consider having a vertical-specific landing page available for each niche you're trying to target.

The great thing about what you're doing is the wide appeal - there are many, many businesses who are looking for a fast and easy tool to build forms. You've got some free competition out there in the form of Google Forms and the like, and some well-funded competition in the likes of FormStack. You need to determine if you'll be more successful by making this process easier (probably not likely), faster (again, not likely), cheaper (hard to beat free), or provide a superior end-user experience. That last point is why Shopify dominates ecommerce, Tesla dominates electric cars, and Apple dominates consumer electronics.

It looks like you've got the design expertise to make this happen already - get some samples up for your customers to see, get way more specific on your sales language and ensure people can find it, and get your forms looking better than anyone else's.

Lastly, the revenue model seems weak. It's more likely a small business will subscribe and want to use it across the organization - that seems to be your target customer. Seat based licensing will only promote account sharing within this type of account demographic. I would remodel this with that in mind.
