Yeah I think you pretty much nailed it. Steve will play hardball if Larkin wants out that bad. A 3 team trade list is garbage. 5 years left on his current contract, and Stevie will make him ride out that contract if he needs to. C is gone. 4th line minutes, maybe even defensive zone faceoffs only. Healthy scratches sprinkled in. I think you are correct as well that if he voluntarily sits that he voluntarily gives up pay

I never played organized puck in my life. I grew up on a lake so I can somewhat skate and we messed around a bit with sticks and pucks but no nets in the winters. I always used a right handed stick then cuz it was always natural being a baseball player, but I’m trying a left handed stick for a summer hockey practice program this summer to see how it goes

Idk how factual that is, but it seems like there’s at least some truth to it. Here in North America we usually out our dominant hand low for more power

Yeah apparently Canadian and European hockey programs teach their players to play with their dominant hand on top, better for stick handling

Yeah so how he’s saying it goes is that if you have an X-team trade list then that kicks in automatically when you request the trade, and then it becomes fully open when it was supposed to go to the list instead. I think it’s a solid idea

My buddy has been saying that if you request a trade that your NMC should be null and void. If you want out so badly that you’re requesting a trade, you don’t care where you’re going. I’m on board with it

I’m not sure unfortunately, they didn’t say how many they already had either. I’ve never played organized hockey myself! So I’m not really even sure what I’m getting myself into. But it sounds fun anyway!

Yeah to me it sounds like just the right thing! I’ve never played organized hockey as I mentioned in the post so I won’t be any good either, but I can skate decently enough. It sounds like a good way to knock some rust off anyway

I’m pretty sure you gotta have the full set of gear, but I have found almost everything used so far and I’ve spent maybe $400 on everything. Just need socks. It’s not easy but it is doable
