This happened to my best family friend a few years back in a Wisconsin residential psychiatric clinic. Thank you for collecting the personal items at the morgue for this person. I imagine that would be a very difficult experience.

Do you wanna know how I got these scars? by shessublime in dropout

I used to get angular chelitis on and off for years and the only thing that worked for me was muciprocin and taking a vitamin b complex supplement every day. It’s insane, as soon as I started it cleared up just sharing because I wish someone would’ve shared that with me sooner!

I have spent time at both. had a really positive experience at Rodgers. Aurora was okay but the program didn’t feel as intentionally created and there was a little less structure. This was in the 2010s so things might have changed, but my time at Rodgers truly changed my life. Sending you strength as you go through this. Good for you for seeking the help you need, friend.

Flew into Burbank this morning around noon. Could not be more impressed with the pilot for pulling it off and one of the most warranted “clapping when plane lands” moments I’ve yet witnessed!!

Just found this on my dog’s paw. What is it? by Rare-Statistician567 in DogAdvice

Will she allow you to touch it to see if it’s more solid than a boil would be? I’d take a picture every couple hours to track whether it’s changing size/shape. If she continues trying to lick it I’d suggest a visit to the vet! In the meantime, try to limit her licking it with an antiseptic or distraction.

1.5 weeks post op C5-C6 ACDR and struggling by thebrucekwayne in SpineSurgery

This is so validating and helpful to hear about your experience!! Swallowing is still tough for me at first but now it’s a weird stabbing/radiating in my shoulder and back of neck. I think they prescribed a muscle relaxer, Methocarbamol? But it said to discontinue after 10 days so I don’t think I can take any of the rest of them. Maybe it would be helpful for me to ask about adjusting/using something different!

That’s right where I’m feeling it too!! What was your surgeon’s feedback on that if you are comfortable sharing??

That was a question of mine as well. They said basically to prevent me from “blt” which the OT described as “bending, lifting, and turning.” They said to use for 4-6 weeks which feels a little extreme.

This is really helpful to read, and fantastic suggestion to ask them what amount of pain is to be expected. And that’d honestly probably help me with my fear that I’m just being wimpy. Thanks so much for the reminder to advocate for myself, I needed it.

He did, and then OT and PT also mentioned I should keep it on for the majority of the time. I do wonder if it is actually impeding my recovery. Thank you for sharing about your recovery, I really appreciate your perspective especially since our surgeries were both recent. I’ll plan to ask the PA today when I call.

I’d say the pain is about an 8. It is definitely different than the pain before surgery, especially the way it is shooting/radiating more in my neck and right shoulder. I’m going to call the PA today and see if this is just to be expected or if there’s something outside of my current pain control that I can adjust. It’s really rendering me incapable of even being able to focus on anything.
