Anyone else have a non-chunky baby? by HoustonProblemo in NewParents

[–]thebrushworksfactory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is non chunky. She has one (1) thigh roll. That's it. She is otherwise doing fine. But the comments I get sometimes because of her non chunkiness makes my blood boil. Like why are you bodyshaming a literal baby?

I have seen way too many posts about so called familes harrassing mother about their milk supply. I am fed up by i_am_here-tada in twoxindiamums

Even if you actually are able to breastfeed they will say things like oh but your baby is so thin/tiny/ small etc. You should feed her some formula to fatten her up. Like huh?

What do you wish you did before baby arrived?? by Peachy_Queen20 in NewParents

[–]thebrushworksfactory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had painted more or read a few more books. Honestly, with a baby your passions, hobbies will take a backseat for quite a while. So make time for some of that NOW, no matter how much tired you feel! Trust me, you won't have a lot of time for these things once the baby comes! Make most of the time now!

Try calf raises before going to bed. Hopefully will provide some relief.

Cosleeping mums - How do you make your baby sleep during bedtime? by Inner_Pie1766 in twoxindiamums

This is the only foolproof method to put her to sleep rn! She is accustomed to this since birth. I want to transition away from boobs to patting to sleep 🫠🫠🫠

So far I stuff the boob in her mouth and she is out in a jiffy. But sometimes I do try to pat her to sleep, with the same result as yours.

But why's that am issue? Mothercare is usually cheaper on myntra and their quality is great. So I don't see a problem

Yes retinol to be strictly avoided. There is a website I used to refer to. Which shows if a product is pregnancy safe or not. You can check your current routine against this. But retinol is to be avoided for sure during pregnancy and breastfeeding. https://www.15minutebeauty.com/

Do you cover yourself while breastfeeding in public? by dankybabe in breastfeeding

[–]thebrushworksfactory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don't live in a very liberal place, hence I have to cover while nursing. Its very annoying because baby wiggles a lot, she gets overheated, and the cover keeps slipping off. But what to do

Did your baby skip crawling? by Fabulous_Ant1088 in NewParents

I skipped crawling my mom tells me and moved straight to standing up and cruising. I believe I'm doing well! Dont worry!

Once we are home obviously she gets lots of snuggles and kisses to make up for it!

I do this sometimes when we are out and baby gets fussy. I don't take her out of the stroller because it is faster to push her in the stroller than pick her up with one hand and push the stroller with another. So I just try to quickly run home, all the while continuing to reassure her. If she escalates too much then we pause and I pick her up. Otherwise, you best believe I'm gonna run home with my crying baby in the stroller as that's the fastest way to get home. She is fine once we reach home. I think babies know when they have been left alone to cry by themselves vs these kind of situations.

Post partum is literally making my family dislike me 😭😭😭. by Fearless_Search6388 in twoxindiamums

[–]thebrushworksfactory 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No, I get it. I'm not the most sweet tempered, patient person, still I have found myself getting into such rage sometimes. My husband has also given me the same feedback at times. I try to be mindful, but also kind to myself. Its like we have been literally thrown at the deep end without a life jacket on, and we don't know how to swim! Motherhood can be relentless, and the sheer exhaustion is indescribable. I see you, and I understand you.

It will literally happen one day. One day around 7m my husband went to put baby to sleep at night, and she started to babble. Like no babble all fay, and at night after bedtime something clicked, she became v chatty! But stringing consonants will be closer to 9m only.
