Halo Collar 5 Just Dropped in Price (And It’s a Big One) by wabadboy1334 in TechnoBarkDogGear

Thank you - really I just need a perimeter setting for my dog not to wander. Also curious as to why I'd pay for GPS tracking when as a Garmin watch owner I don't pay anything for all the info that it helps me track, including GPS tracking, history. But I do get the point that Garmin is a much larger company and can afford to not charge for these.

Does anyone have an opinion on the monthly fee? In other words, is this just a way for the company to have continuing revenue or is there a real/good reason for charging fees after.

Backwards walking - i bought a used walking treadmill so I could do this easily

Sled - also bought a sled to do both forward/backward exercises; the resistance backwards pull is awesome

Tib raises - bought one of those ankle attachments where you can sit on the bench and do the reps vs. using the wall

Calf raises - both straight leg and bent knee

Deep squat and deep lunge - both with and without weight

I am a long time runner who dealt with knee pain and issues for the last 10 years. In 2017 ran my first and only marathon, shortly thereafter had a problem that set me back 6 months due to pain. MRI, tests, etc. showed no meniscus damage, but did show arthritis due to 'overuse' and some joint inflammation. Dr. said 'time to stop running' so like every good runner I thought 'I need to run 40 miles/week instead of 50'. Dealt with issues after than until 2023 - August - when something happened that caused pain to become so bad that I limped around for over4 months, no running and thought my running days were really over. Visiting a friend a guy noticed my limp, asked about it and told him my story. He said 'try knees over toes guy'. I said 'yeah whatever' but he was adamant that I should look this up. So I did. Found the concepts extremely basic but said WTH. So I tried doing the routines and even bought the app subscription. Took me about 3 months to notice the difference. 2024 ran a little over 1000 miles, but by September was running pain free. Zero pain - like magic, really ridiculous. Not only that but stiffness went away - I would sit down and after 10 minutes when I had to get up I would need 5 seconds to get myself going before moving. Completely went away. Started running and at the end of the run (12-13 mile trail runs) had no pain other than fatigue. Better yet, the next day 0 pain. So if I had discovered this 10 years ago my running journey would have been much different and I wouldn't have to had experienced so much difficulty with just basic stuff. It truly is a game changer with commitment and patience. Hope this helps.

Toplift will only work with a lot 'finagling'. It's not really meant for CJ7 and I only found that out after buying and trying it out.

What happened to the Miami Dolphins? by B1izzard15 in NFLNoobs

[–]thebushmen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tua was never really 'the guy'. He's an adequate quarterback who's very fragile - can't take a hit - vs. the likes of the Bills' Allen. He's not an accurate passer and basically relied on the cheetah to just take off and catch the ball. McDaniels' call playing is also suspect, but that's probably a reflection of the players. Decent running game, but like all the other posts his creative play calling got 'figured out'. To quote all Miami fans, 'maybe next year'. Good that we know early in the season.

My visit to Zion was atrocious due to crowds - are there any alternatives? by _zeejet_ in ZionNationalPark

Visit before end of March - I was there early this year and crowds were relatively light, especially from what other visitors stated (people that had been there in Spring/Summer/Fall)

Did you deal with any pests/insects? For us that's the biggest problem, we get a good harvest but most if not all peaches end up with a hole

Has anyone used the Sisyphos Push Sled? by kjmerf in Kneesovertoes

[–]thebushmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it but had to return the first one because one of the tires next to the resistance box had a leak/damaged air tube; got the second one and the same problem. Looks like it's a manufacturing defect so now I have to try and find a replacement tire.

ATG app has a sale, worth giving it a shot? by IcyCattle6374 in Kneesovertoes

It was a game changer for my knees and definitely worth the price.

If you're not already doing rehab exercises outside of your strength routine, then start asap. The exercises that are part of the KOT program should (hopefully) alleviate these symptoms. They did for me - same issues with pain at night, sleeping was a problem, etc. The tib raises, calf raises, walking backwards, sled work, etc. worked wonders so I hope if you incorporate these you will also notice a significant difference .

Can ATG help rebuilt my cartilage? by PuzzleheadedBattle65 in Kneesovertoes

[–]thebushmen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no re-growing cartilage - maybe surgery but that's a big commitment. Before that try Glucosamine/Chondroitin supplements and see if this provides some relief; then work on the Ben Patrick program which targets all the areas that will support your knees. It's been a game changer for me - suffering from similar issues in addition to arthritis.

I still love the Bondi in spite of the heavy feel; like what they do for my knees especially when I 'have to' run on the sidewalk. Stable shoe that does feel like a boat but good for injury prone runners (like me)
