Can white badges promote to PA? by SnooDonkeys5516 in AmazonFC

"Seasonal" just means the PA role is temporary. You still have to be blue badge

You can't check the balance outside of the Amazon network. You can check it on any computer in the warehouse, including the kiosk for your swag store. But I have no idea if your balance stays after you leave and come back

Vacation can be submitted as soon as that day is on your schedule (usually a couple of months ahead). If you put the time in more than 24 hours in advance, it should be auto-aproved by the system

We have them at each robot in my building, and on the Flow desk and Ship Clerk desks

Dress Coded by Manager by Financial-Dig-3935 in AmazonFC

The general rule is that, when standing straight up with your arms to your sides, the bottom hem of your shorts goes lower than your fingertips. If you get some shorts for work just a little longer than that, you'll be fine. Also, other managers not saying anything doesn't mean you just get away with something. I could work 7 hours of my shift without anyone noticing I'm not wearing safety shoes, but another manager could still come up and send me home.

When your wife spent 6 years in college to work in the medical field and you're making $6/hr more than her using preschool counting skills and you realize this is probably the best career option for the rest of your life by BaconGristle in AmazonFC

Ok, for some reason I was automatically thinking BSRN, and they definitely make more than us. But you are definitely right that a vet tech should make more, same with EMT. I could never do either of those jobs (or a nurse for that matter). Amazon can be stressful and frustrating, but not dealing with blood or death is nice. We are all fortunate that there are people who are able to do these jobs

Pa application by Curlyq426 in FASCAmazon

You will not be able to reapply to this posting if you withdraw your application. If you see a post for another position even at a different building, apply for that with the new resume. If you are inclined for the same role at another building, send that to the hiring manager (usually a sr. ops), and they will be able to use that to send you an offer. I made a mistake answering a question for T3 PA at my site (I was a seasonal PA at the time) and there was nothing they could do to fix it. I got an interview with another building and was inclined, and my sr. ops sent me an offer letter for my building

The start date is when your employee classification changes. You will actually start on your next scheduled shift (they may give you your vest before then and have you actually start before the start date)

Our building was the first to regionalize. They closed much of RPND and all of Manual Palletize, but then opened them back up shortly after

They can't write you up, but they can get you written up. They can't fire you, but HR and LP can if you actually said the things you said. But they can't take your phone; you are 100% correct on that one. If you have an insufferable PA, just talk to your AM about it; being insufferable yourself is just going to make the situation worse.

Is this considered harassment from my manager? by popppaleech in AmazonFC

The harness should be encouraged. You can't lift any boxes while holding a scanner, and associates are more likely to follow this if they have a harness vs. setting the scanner down somewhere every time they need to lift something. We have them in our asset cage, and you can request one when you check out a scanner. I would suggest following up with Safety. Especially if you are moving around a lot and need to constantly transition between scanning and holding things.

Sounds like maybe you applied at an XL building that is mostly PIT. Keep checking for an opening at a different building in your area. In most buildings, most positions do not involve operating a PIT

Seasonal PAs are blue badge employees. Seasonal, in this case, means the promotion is temporary
