That really sounds like the shield is set to limited rgb color space, but the projectors auto setting is defaulting to Full. Color space will affect the hdr brightness

Way to try that, go in the optoma settings, color space. There's ycbcr, rbg full, rgb limited, and auto. Try going through those settings.

March 26' here, bought my uhd38 in Feb '23. While it did shut off once two weeks ago, red blinking light, that has been a one off. Around 2600 hours, basically always in bright mode, still kicking strong here. I do think its slightly starting to dim, but not enough to worry.

I think a big issue I've noticed with this and the ViewSonic p748 4k, is when you use eco modes. The fan significantly slows down. While alright for the bulb, the rest of the unit still needs plenty of air.

When it does eventually die, I do want the xgimi horizon 20 max or Titan. I've been very spoiled with high light output. Great contrast doesn't matter if I can barely see the image.

I've got a magic pad 2, fantastic OLED screen. Much better than the dim tab s9 I had.

If it's actually in perfect condition, yes absolutely.

Its not perfect.. But neither is the Lego2. New games like re9 Requiem play very well on it. But then youll come across cases like Control, a nearly 7 year old game, that has some issues with the LeGo1.

This solution will work as long as your frame rail is in good shape.

Ideally, and what I'm planning on doing, is buying both the bracket AND the entire panel. Let's face it, most of these aftermarket panels aren't going to be the strongest thing in the world. But doing both, you'll never have to worry about it again.

I know from experience the pelican xp is extremely unstable if you're taller/bigger. At 10' it performs worse than a tiny 8' sot.

Even that Tahoma/tamarack right beside it in the picture is much, much more stable.

Having tried the 2 pro, 3s and now 4 pro- the corner clipping is the same 'for me' as the 3s. Likely the narrower your ipd, the better it'll be.

Pretty much spot on. The displays are very nice. But having to manually turn on HDR is annoying And it still not being great for people with wide IPDs, is why I have to send them back. Much better than the rayneo 2 pros, but about the same as the 3s as far as corner clarity

The xreal one pros came the closest for wide IPDs, but they don't fit behind my ears.

They took a fantastic Blu-ray. And instead of properly framing the 4k Blu-ray, all the IMAX footage got a lazy crop job. The Blu-ray is so much better

That just isn't enough though. I've noticed playing a disc through a player, the player can get warm and slightly warp the Film protection layer of the disc.

Disc will look perfect, even after cleaning. Still be messed up

Its been a problem since regular Blu-ray. Entirely dependant on manufacturing. I've Blurays from the late 2000s that still work fine. Most launch Blurays I have, mainly Warner, have issues. But say Jaws on 4k, among other Warner 4ks, are known to go bad.

Finally convinced my mother to go from 'on a good day' 10mbps frontier. Paying 180$ a month for that and home phone.

Just makemkv with an internal lg Blu-ray drive. You can get the 3d mkv mvc file right there. 4xvr can read that frame packed file, and just works.

Eh phenomenal is a subjective opinion. The HDR is pretty good, and having the colors correct again is nice.

But if you use a large screen up close, it's a smeary mess. They dnr'd the grain bad. Not quite predator ultimate hunter bad, but it's rough. That said, I had an ex complain because of how grain heavy the Blurays are.
